Daniel Raymond – Outside Linebacker – Freshman - 6-0, 200 – Friendly H.S. – Fort Washington, Md. Raymond was the other early signee along with Granger. Many of his highlights were as a running back and safety. Even played quarterback. Good athlete. Will need to get a better look at home over the summer, but if he was a sprinter in HS, he's obviously got some wheels. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/7844240/5d8ef976a6783a13bc13fed7 Raymond is the first Towson player from Friendly High in Fort Washington since Alex Blake in 2012. A multi-sport athlete in football, basketball and track, Raymond was Friendly's leader in solo tackles, passing yards, rushing yards and punting yards in 2019, totaling 1,266 total offensive yards, plus he was one of the school's best sprinters.

    – Wide Receiver – Freshman – 6-0, 170 – Avalon H.S. – Gambrills, Md. 4.55 40 255 bench 335 squat, 36 inch vertical https://www.ncsasports.org/football-recruiting/maryland/gaithersburg/avalon-school/brady-mcelhaney Originally committed to Boston College as PWO. I like him but you can see the difference between him and Granger. He doesn't break as many tackles. Deceptive speed. Most likely a slot receiver who will redshirt his first year to add some size and strength. I think he's closer to 5-10, 170 but that's fine. Makes up for lack of size with good vertical. Good route runner and quickness. Looking forward to the future at WR with Thompson, Murphy, Jabari Allen for two more years, Street for two more years, Granger could play this year. There will be a lot of competition. http://www.hudl.com/v/2CemCG McElhaney makes the short trek from Anne Arundel County to Baltimore County to suit up for the Tigers. Playing at Arundel High then Avalon High, McElhaney was selected to compete in the annual Maryland Crab Bowl as a wide receiver for Team Washington in 2019. He scored a touchdown in the Class 4A East Region semifinal in 2017 with Arundel, helping the team to eight wins that year.

Quarterback – Junior – 6-2, 185 – ASA College – Haddonfield, N.J. Most likely a preferred walk-on, Patrizi didn't play much in his first two seasons at ASA College. The first highlights I looked at were from his senior year in HS. They were mainly him at running back. At 6-2, he was running very high, which is understandable. The other highlights were from ASA College. The first thing you notice that he throws a pretty soft pass with a lot of arc. He doesn't have a big arm, but gets you the ball, kind of like Grant Enders. A dual-threat QB, though Grant was much thicker at around 212. The numbers don't match up at all that ASA College has for him, which basically says he completed seven passes. On film, not bad. Good size, athlete, arm strength average at best. http://www.hudl.com/v/2AgpbY https://www.hudl.com/profile/6037838/Nick-Patrizi Out of southern New Jersey comes Patrizi, who has spent the last two years as a quarterback at ASA College. Previous to ASA, Patrizi played at Haddonfield Memorial High, finishing with 10 touchdowns and almost 1,000 all-purpose yards his senior year, taking his team to the 2017 NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 championship game.

Ty'shaun Granger – Wide Receiver – Freshman - 6-1, 195 – Maury H.S. – Norfolk, Va. 195 bench, 355 squat Good size, strong lower body, gets a lot of yac yardage. Breaks tackles. Not really a burner but can get deep. Plays physical. Big hands. Can return punts. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/8499833/5da761324207200710dc74dd https://247sports.com/Player/Tyshaun-Granger-46055678/ Granger earned 2019 All-Region 5A Second Team and First Team All-District as a senior, tallying 906 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns on 47 receptions, plus had a key interception in the state semifinal game. He led Maury High to be the No. 1 ranked team in Virginia and helped the school earn its first state title in 80 years. He will join the Towson program in the spring.

Bobby Wilder was let go as head coach after this season at ODU so Scott was available. You’d have to think he’d have a lot of input in the offensive game plan.
