Tonight’s win should tell you something about this team. I don’t think this is a game we win last year and especially not two years ago. A friend of mine is a big UNCG fan and told me at half that this game wasn’t over. This team is winning in spite of themselves right now and I think this group is going to be something special when it all clicks. To win on the road, down 13, without Gibson is remarkable. There is stuff to be critical of sure, but let’s also enjoy this win. This was as impressive as come 4-0 feels sweet

I was at the Penn game last Sunday and I was wondering about that play. An overzealous Penn player dove for the ball while the Quakers were making a run and clipped Gibson's legs. He looked noticeably affected by it, and I know he has had back issues in the past. Hopefully, it ends up being a minor issue because we need all of our parts to be an effective team with our thin depth at this point.

Good call. A lot of room to spare on the under.

Estrada with 27 again. Averaging 24.5 ppg now. That’s top 10 in the nation.

Apparently, he practiced all week and just started feeling pain. I know the feeling and it's not fun. Maybe we need to limit his minutes in non-conference play and get Conway 5-7 minutes per game, even though you have to play him through the mistakes. If he's not ready for conference play, I guess he's more for the future. I was wrong about him, thinking that he could contribute early on. I'm not wrong about his ability to shoot, but you need more than that to play for this team. He's one of those guys who could have used a blowout game to play significant minutes. Apparently that's not going to happen yet with this team. The guy who I think earned a few more minutes was May. Just has that athletic look and needs to play to get experience.

Shocker in the opening round: No. 7 seed W&M beats Hofstra, 3-2, after the pride led 2-0.

As I am a big time Philadelphia guy I used to give Villanova a lot of $hit for ruining the traditional Big 5 back in the late 80's early 90's by backing out of the traditional round robin. The way the scheduling climate is now I do have to give them props for coming back and remaining in the regular round robin Big 5. Although they may be coming back to the Big 5 pack now that Wright is gone and even though they just lost to Temple they are still heads and shoulders by far the best team in the city, but it does provide not necessarily Temple because I think they can schedule whoever they want, but Penn, La Salle and St. Joe's an opportunity to have a name school on their schedule every year. It's idiotic that URI or Providence wants nothing to do with Bryant. I know there was past history between the schools but how doesn't Maryland and Georgetown not play every year? GW should be on both of those two schools schedules as well.
