Just curious, what has winning produced at Towson? Did attendance go up after our National Title appearance? After the biggest turnaround in NCAAMB history did we start filling up SECU? While I am a glass half full Towson guy I don't that quote equates to Towson athletics. There is some sort of apathy that has been hanging over our athletic program for decades now. I don't have the answer to change it but just winning isn't working.

Back to Back road games is never easy, especially for a young team. This will continue to be a roller coaster year. If we can end up .500 on the road and over .500 at home in the league I will be excited for what the future brings.

I don't get it. We rip Skerry because he doesn't get enough guys to stay 4 years but we are all pretty aware that mid-major success is tied to playing the transfer game well. We can't play both sides of this. I honestly don't care if we win with 4 years players, D1 transfers or JuCo transfers. I just want the talent here however they can get here. The guys who are in the program mostly improve during their time here. Whether it is Bennimon during his year out, JD and Morsell during their 4 years, or even a guy like Zane who bailed on us. He went from a 6th man to a 19 ppg scorer. Davis and Morsell both made All-CAA teams during their career TPR was All-CAA defense as well I get killing Skerry for the X's and O's thing, but for me its about the Jimmy's and Joe's. The talent level coming into this program in the last 5 years has drastically increased. We are all aligned that we aren't yet where we want to be but it's crazy to be picky about where the talent is coming from.

Like a player getting shot 3 days before the conference tournament? That kind of adapting? Lots of coaches have to deal with that?

I feel like this is similar to the Gonzaga example on a lower level. For years, they were getting into the tournament as a high seed then would disappoint. Mark Few was getting a ton of heat for not getting to the next level. It took some time but then it happened. I think there is the possibility of having the same situation here. It took years for us to finally stop being s*it. We are finally there and now we want to see the next step in the progression. We all want it faster than its happening but I think the program is doing the right things and its going to happen. I don't want this season to end that process.

Zane and Gorham were also great freshman recruits, he got them here.

Last 6 years in conference: 13-5, 13-5, 5-13, 11-7, 11-7, 8-10 4 of the 6 years we are winning over 60% of our league games. Above avg IMO

Is winning 20 games in a season considered average? This is a serious question. I would consider being .500 is average. I think we have been underwhelming in the CAA Tournament and some of that blame goes to Skerry. Part of that could be that we overachieved in the regular season and part could be we under performed in the playoffs. Both can be true. I felt like Zane was going to be the guy that could put us over the hump. Him leaving was a major blow to the program IMO. The one thing I've always felt Skerry has been missing is a go-to guy in crunch time to get us a big bucket on his own (Bennimon was the exception to this). It may be PS's fault that he is gone but at the same time that was not expected. It seemed to me the 2017-2018 class was put together to build around him and Gorham. With their departures you have to reevaluate the entire program and start from scratch, which brings us to the 2018-2019 season. Its going to be long and wins are going to be hard to come by. I am just hoping these guys get better as the season goes on and the minutes this year translate to success in 2019-2020.

Man, you're such a hater. We just went 7-4 after being picked 10th in the preseason poll. Just stop bud, enjoy winning. The majority of you hate on Rob and his brother. They are far from perfect, I'm aligned. But we are all aware they were the #1 offense in the league this year while playing the hardest schedule.

Maine has only 1 good win in conference which is hurting them. If you go through the teams in conference with 2 or less losses we are the only one who played all 5 of them (going 2-2), the rest only played 3 or 4 of the 5. That in itself should get us in compared but who the heck knows.

Mat, What happens if Maine loses? It will end up being a massive tie....

Expectations have drastically changed in Skerry's 7 years as coach, therefore the acceptable level of recruit has changed as well. JJ and Zane are guys that we all expected to be here for 4 years and are difference makers, I don't know how much we can blame PS for their departure. The guy has won 58% of his games in the last 6 seasons (excludes the 1-31 debacle). I would have been thrilled with being over .500 during my tenure at Towson ('02-'09). In saying that, his job is to continue to get the program better and continuing to raise the bar. I think he starting to make that next step with this class and hopefully we can keep guys around through graduation with the current roster. He has 7 years left on this current contract, if a NCAA bid doesn't happen in that stretch I think everyone will be treating him like RA and it is probably justified at that point.

I feel like the select few that were anti Rob were just waiting for the two game losing streak to pounce on him. Let's see what happens against Elon and JMU before we start saying we want the guy fired. JMU just lost to a doormat in New Hampshire (I'm aware their QB was out, but they have still been bad all year). I get you all hate him for whatever reason, but we are 2 plays from being 8-1 and running away with the CAA title. If we get blow out the next two weeks go ahead call for him to be fired. I'm just not there yet.

There is another that has us at the #4 seed. The fact that we are included in all of them is the most important thing. The next 3 weeks will let us know where we stand.

Rutgers is not going to be very good this year, big10 team or not.

If we go 8-3 there is a 100% chance we make the playoffs.
