Rough weekend for the Towson 9. I know the program was in critical condition a few years ago as the plug was almost pulled, but is this program growing or will it stay muddled in mediocrity? Mediocre might be an overstatement. I love baseball and would love to see them be somewhat respectable.

Love the win but before I get excited, do we have a chance to be THAT good, is Mount truly awful this year or is it something in between? Either way it is usually rare for any Towson team in any sport whether they are supposed to be good or not or playing an inferior D-1 school to hand a beat down like that.

I'm sorry, I just don't get it. Everyone who tries to explain the CBS/Flo deal uses the excuse "Well that is the only way we can get on national tv 3 to 4 times." I'd forfeit those "3 to 4 games" on CBS Sports Network to be able for me to see the OTHER 20 TO 25 GAMES on ESPN+. Trust me I have seen some ESPN+ broadcast that are flosports level of production, but I have said it before and I will say it again: even though espn+ does not provide the team I prefer to follow it gives countless number of other viewing options to make the money that I spend on it worth it. A question for those who have flosports. How many times when Towson is not playing do you turn it on to see what else they are showing? My guess the % of that happening is higher with those with ESPN+ than with flo which means that no one is exactly tripping into a CAA game. If you want to grow your organization, program, conference what have you, you have to go where the people are. People are not coming to you with the product the CAA puts out. While most conferences are shopping on Amazon the CAA continues to send checks for $19.95 plus $5.00 for shipping and handling to some PO Box in Pueblo, Colorado and expects 6 to 8 weeks for delivery.

Good teams have to worry about trap games, we are not good.

If Bay Area Tiger has reached this point, then the ship has truly sunk. BAT is the silver lining positive one on this board. The Bob is less than 30 minutes away from my house and I had no schedule conflicts and I had no desire to go to the game. Drexel is not too far away either and I do not anticipate heading to University City for that game either. Changes need to be made but it sounds like the only changes that can be made would be at the assistant level since PS contract still has years on it.

Simple solution. GO TO ESPN. If on ESPN at worst the game would be on ESPN+ a streaming service that is viable and offers a lot more extra programming than flosports ever would. CBS Sports Network has one station so yes if a once in a blue moon game like this comes up there is nothing they can do. If the CAA was with ESPN it would have a better chance of moving things around and getting this game on 'The U" or ESPNNEWS or like I said the last option of ESPN+. I am sure it would be impossible to find but I would love to see the subscriber numbers of each. As an ESPN+ subscriber I cannot tell you how many games I "trip" into just by searching. I guarentee you no one "trips" into anything with flo. Those that have it watch the team they subscribe for and that's it.

Kind of a cryptic message here from coach. Seems like whatever happened with him possibly involved coach/coaches. Whatever it is, it needs to be addressed quick as possible, back next game, two more games, not coming back decide and announce soon. Best of both worlds for me, thanks to that late three by Drexel. Towson wins but doesn't cover! You have to continue to fade this team when favored for the time being.

That is part of the problem however. We ALWAYS go "toe to toe" "lost by 5" against teams that are better than us. Look at the headlines on the Towson site for those games: Towson "Battles" to Force Overtime..." Towson "Hangs Tough...". Even in past seasons almost beating Pitt or Maryland you name it. Those headlines are just like a friend who tells you about a girl and you ask if she is good looking and the response is "She has a great personality

Thursday we should have some answers. Did we play closer to our potential on Saturday or did we get hyped up to play the best team in the league? Right now I think it is the later. Let's see how they play against Drexel.

I supplement my following Towson by fading them while betting. If they are going to disappoint me might as well make a few bucks doing it. Can we go back to the start of the season when we "thought" we were good? Reality is becoming a bitch.

It's probably happened in lacrosse a few times, but can anyone think of the last time where a Towson team has beaten a team in the regular season and that team ended up in the Final Four. Obviously thinking of the volleyball team beating Pitt this year.

I hate to stereotype but in all honesty when I first saw his picture on Sunday I thought he appeared to be a "Gosh darn it" "Oh fiddlesticks" type of guy. Time will tell but if no "F" bombs increases our "W" total I'm all for it. I wonder how the first meeting with the team went as it is all about buy in right now.

Going into this thing I was not sure what I was expecting and after this hire I am not sure what to think. Never going to happen but it would be nice to have had a crystal ball or something to look at the top 3 finalist to compare. I think someone on this thread, probably Mat eluded to money in terms of what other candidates may have wanted. Hiring a D2 coach means he is definitely making less than what Rob made. Does the coaching pool for assistants stay the same or does that go down as well? Hoping he was chosen because he was the best candidate and not a budget move to save a few bucks

Ugh, just another game where Towson was thisclose to beating a Power 5 team. I don't care if it is from a middling P5 team. Remember how happy we were when we beat Oregon State? Frustrating, you get over the hump in this type of game it garners momentum to help you get over the hump in March.

What the heck happened in the Morgan State game? No Towson team should ever get beat that bad against any Morgan team in any sport. Hopefully bounce back tonight.

As I am a big time Philadelphia guy I used to give Villanova a lot of $hit for ruining the traditional Big 5 back in the late 80's early 90's by backing out of the traditional round robin. The way the scheduling climate is now I do have to give them props for coming back and remaining in the regular round robin Big 5. Although they may be coming back to the Big 5 pack now that Wright is gone and even though they just lost to Temple they are still heads and shoulders by far the best team in the city, but it does provide not necessarily Temple because I think they can schedule whoever they want, but Penn, La Salle and St. Joe's an opportunity to have a name school on their schedule every year. It's idiotic that URI or Providence wants nothing to do with Bryant. I know there was past history between the schools but how doesn't Maryland and Georgetown not play every year? GW should be on both of those two schools schedules as well.
