    New Coach Thread

He makes around $600,000 so he would have to take a pay cut. Most coordinators at P5 schools aren’t going to take an FCS head coaching job for that reason.

She was extremely underfunded but 16-81 is tough to keep around.

    2022-23 General MBB Thread

Not that we had a chance to sell out the Albany game, but having the game on the same night as the Ravens/Saints game on Monday (5 or 6pm instead of 7?) may not have been the brightest idea.

  9. http://stats.statbroadcast.com/statmonitr/?id=410013 https://towsontigers.com/news/2022/10/29/towson-football-earns-best-offensive-output-in-road-game-since-2012-defeating-monmouth.aspx Had to re-write this but you can see from the stats that a big game on the ground with over 260 yards and no turnovers. We also forced no turnovers, but the speical teams was the difference. What a great game by D'Ago Hunter who had 334 total yards including a long punt return and kick return for a TD. He was great. Even Cole Cheripko scored on a trick play where he lined up under a different center (believe 61 Mathias) and ran it in from one yard. More later.

  11. Not sure he will. Playing six minutes in an ex. game was not a good sign and you do have to be more than just a shooter to play D1. I think he'll be in the mix in conference play once he figures out how to defend and what a good shot is.
  12. Paar has been hurt and I assume Bieku is going to be backup five. Coleman didn’t play and May played just two minutes. We played this game as if it were a real game and I assume in the La Salle closed scrimmage that everyone got a decent shot at playing because they played five quarters. Both those guys are 6-6ish so I don’t think it would have been pretty. May is probably a tweener right now. Needs to bulk up to play the four and get a better handle to be a wing. I think he can help some against the press because he’s athletic.

Matthews, Hunter run over Monmouth 52-48

We have little chance of beating Villanova with that defense. I don’t care how mediocre they are. I said this last week that it didn’t help Monmouth that they played a seven overtime game the week before. I hope our offense can keep it up and make these last few games entertaining.
  14. I think there’s a difference between being 6-1 170 and 188. He’s not massive, just bigger because it’s the first time he had legit off-season after back issues and Covid. My hope is that it will help him score with contact in the rare times that he drives and it should help get through screens on D. Everyone goes to the weight room to get stronger. Look at CofC.

It’s never a bad day when you put up 52 points and Delaware adds 7 in a loss to Elon.
  16. Yes, young team. They do have some talented guards and a lot of size, but if this was a game that counted, it would be a bad loss.
