I don’t mention eliminating it or stepping down in my post. I have mentioned in the past, what the point of playing ~ .500 fcs football in front of 4,000 fans, is. Fcs and the caa are on life support. Queue an angry response from the football crowd. This coming from an ex season ticket holder, and someone who can give two shits about the NFL. My point is, that as long as we have all of these other sports, and no real focus, we will continue to play major catch-up. Can’t compete with the likes of Charleston, uncw, northeastern, Drexel and Delaware. What does this school want to become, other than a lifetime contract for mediocre coaches?

Yup. But it also has something to do with them having 2 “big sports”. What are we good at? We have football and lacrosse programs that suck up a ton of money. Charleston does not. Easier for them to be good and raise more money. TU alum don’t care. Students don’t care and some that do, post here but a lot don’t go to games or have season tickets/donate as much that is needed to compete.

Nice post. I have, as well as during the big give to the TU athletic fund. hopefully we can get this off the ground and become competitive in the NIL landscape.

Agreed. He is very active and a good follow. By far the best since I’ve been a student. Seems like he came on later in the hoops season, maybe second semester.

I believe it was created by a current athlete? Maybe? It’s kind of corny but isn’t awful. My gripe is that we always try and change sh*t around too quickly, (Uniforms. Slogans. Everything else in athletics) that we don’t build any tradition. There are so many examples To name here. We have little to no tradition and just keep moving from one thing to another. Continuity, amongst other things, are not our strengths.

Played hard and seemed to be a hard worker. Just not big or skilled enough. Needed atleast one of the 4/5 players on the end of the bench to leave.

Soccer. Volleyball. Hoops. Now softball and lacrosse. I’m sure the new programs, and departing one helped our record this year but good to see them back to respectability and having a chance in the tournament

He was Overhyped. Was a solid player but pretty poor on Defense and bad attitude. Woulda been funny to see him with skerry, but alas he made his way to X instead.

If we are looking to get to most of our fans happy place 16-19 wins, we need players who can create and score from outside. With few spots available, it is crucial to hit home runs here. I don’t doubt that guy isn’t solid. A role player that’s can fill different roles is valuable. But with paar, Coleman, beku and 4 freshman, there isn’t a lot of offense, especially early on. Add in hicks and you have lots of question marks on offense. sure someone will likely step up and be a double figure scorer along with Charles. But based off the past, it’s looking very minimal. let’s hope the Towson messiah is better than the Towson prophet was 😂😂
