Alright so we all know that we got the shortest end of the stick as far as scheduling goes. (Not talking tv games) But I looked deeper into it. Not only did we get preseason 1,2,5,&7 (we were 5/6) in a home and home, we also got number 4 away. Which means we got 8,9,10,12,13,14 once We have 3 Saturday home games (1 Monday tv game to take the place of a Saturday and that’s at 9pm the day after the Super Bowl) which means 5 away Saturday games which are obviously tougher with the short turnaround. Of those 3 Saturday home games, 2 of the times we were on the road the Thursday of and our opponents were much closer to Towson after their Thurs games than we were. On the contrary of our 5 road Saturday games, 4 of our 5 opponents were home on the Thursday before.. Really does suck that we got shafted again with the schedule. I guess being in the middle of the league makes it easier for them to send us wherever whenever

You missed a very Towson game. Big lead down to a possession a few times. Questionable decisions and awful foul shooting. They have at home toughness. Drexel is the most similar team to us. Glad we play them once in the regular season. It’s nice to win a game no relying on outside shooting. End of game execution needs to improve. Pat had no patience for the freshmen today. Luckily some good minutes early from jones and may. Lowery was solid. Williams is a handful. Thankfully spiker had him on the bench more than he should have. Big three game stretch coming up. Wish we didn’t throw away one of those first two Ls

+1. When the lights shine bright and there is hype for a game the tigers (all sports) usually lay an egg. Hope that’s not the case tonight and we can have a start like we did against them in the 09 tournament

Extremely similar styles. Both are amongst the slowest in temp and lowest in possessions. Best defensive rebounding team against best offensive rebounding team. Both teams play solid d and shoot minimal threes. Both are top 2-3 in rebounds blocks and 3p defense. Both have depth and Drexel goes 10 deep. Best team that spiker has had at Drexel. Should be a good game

Rare Towson marketing/athletics win. They are doing this prior to 6 hours before a game (like usual). With rain in Thursday and it still being break, don’t think we get more than 1750 or so. if you look online there are a ton of tickets still available. (Drexel fans are buying some up if your read their board).

They are a very interesting team. Not good at all OOC. now in league play have been blowing people out (not the toughest schedule yet but). Lots of older guys on that team and very balanced. Just got one of their best players back Saturday. Can’t let their white kids torch us again

Finishing down low is always a problem. Rushed shots. Suliman airballed 2/3 offensive rebound misses of his own in a row yesterday. Im gonna need you post for me. You have a hell of a way of bringing up negatives in s much more discrete way 😅 the next 5 games are big and can go either way. But Thursday we will have lots of other fans rooting for us. A loss and Drexel can likely coast to the regular season title Jesus. Need a translator to decipher half of what you are trying to say. I really enjoy when you post. Because that means we won. You don’t show your face for a loss. The turd? Shooting 50% of shots from deep isn’t a great strategy for Towson. And it’s one thing I’m sure Pat and I actually agree on. They have shot better recently but there are going to be cold stretches and tarke/Williamson are too good of drivers to settle for deep threes. May is not the guy but getting better. Late in the game we should be going to tarke and Tejada for a shot. As far as Charles goes, I have always loved him as a blue collar player. But not as a point guard. And guess what?! (I assume you don’t watch every game). The last two games he hasn’t brought the ball up a ton and only handled the ball in a possession where he should and he was really good. Don’t need 15 a game from him. But he did need to start playing like a 5th year senior. Looking at the upcoming schedule and I Feel like I won’t be hearing you much. Uncw stormed the court… I’m probably in the minority here since we have some on here that want to book hotels in march for beating Arcadia, but a court storming for that?! In mid January?! Come on I’d say bad was we got very three happy to start the second half and were something like 2-11 to begin. Can’t do that against the better teams. Seems like we just stopped running sets.

Similar stats and record to us. Slow plodding pace, not many threes attempted or made. Decent defense. They don’t rebound like we do though. That’ll hopefully be the difference

..Yeah I’m sure that will work.. Does it matter right now? The rotation as is, is better without him in it. He’s had numerous concussions and just like Gibson, earlier this season might be the last we see if him on the court. Feel bad for him but the show must go on. Monmouth was ugly but they are a solid team this year and likely will finish top 6 if not higher.

That’s why playing awful at ne and Monmouth hurt. Granted I had us winning at Monmouth not tonight, to sit 3-2. next 3 weeks are a tough stretch

Tarke and Williamson are good at getting in the paint. But sometimes fall in love with some bad and deep threes. Charelston is a pretty good team but not last year good. They are now 26-3 in their last 29 home games, with 2 being against us. Very odd

This was probably top 5 or top 3 (if not higher) best win the skerry era. Not sure our offense has ever played better (minus the last 2 minutes at the line). Movement, cutting, screens, and driving, does wonders. Not running an offense through the post the entire game is so refreshing. Solid contributions all around. Tarke played a hell of a game and that late step back there was huge and something we haven’t seen in A LONG time. Their big Russian is so skilled, thankfully they didn’t go to him more often. Burnham killed our 4s for thr first 25 minutes or so. didnt think we’d win more than one in the league on the road, but that was a hell of a first road win on the season. Can we build on this???

I was talking members that won it as part of the caa. I get there’s been a lot of changes but the Am East group has been in the league coming on two decades now. Im pretty sure Hampton also won a game or two more recently than that. Jervon Presley, of former Towson lore, was on one of those teams

The league is a hodge podge of misfits. Had a few nice wins this year OOC and not many bad losses. Which is different than in past years. The issue is scheduling. Need to step that up and stop playing non d1 games that don’t count, and improve scheduling philosophies. Less schedules full of 5+ buy games and less cupcakes (ahem auburn drive). But with so many new teams that need to make ends meet, that is what is being done. The real issue is money. 0 wins in 10 years. Has to be the longest streak in the nation. Need those extra units. the last win was a PIG (and that school just left). We aren’t even competitive in the games (sans last year) Has a current caa team besides uncw ever won a game?!

They are 7-9 (2-2). Chris Clemons is not walking through that door (averaged over 30 a game his senior year! That’s half of what we average as a team!). They did just beat Hofstra down in nc. If this game was in Buies Creek, camels win easily but they aren’t great on the road (1-7)

Unfortunately the same. Knew this would be an ugly loss. We likely won’t win on the road this year. Decade plus and this has been the breaking point for me. Not just the play on the court and the “coaching”, but the constant blind support and rah rah attitude on here. Just nauseating. Not you, you’re a good in the middle.
