I thought he woulda separated from Mack at this point. Also surprised he left. Xavier grad, making good money, always in tourney. Louisville has the history obviously but I would stay away from that mess
-
They have left on their own merits, not pat making the changes. You just see a lot of young guys now as assistants or guys who played at the school. His nba career is over, maybe we can get Gary back here.

To me it seems difficult as a public university with fairly small international student numbers. They typically are more mature so that would help everyone don’t chastise me, but hear me out. We are stuck with skerry for the next few years and he seems loyal to his staff. Few changes we coming. But do you feel the staff can’t relate to the players on some level, that they are bringing in?? I would like an ex player to get on his staff to help the players, what’s expected with everything. Lots of programs have that with DBO or film guys who work their way up. Obvious name would be Davis but he still has pro aspirations.

Good for them. I know they have been god awful for a decade atleast but that has a lot to do with the field/facilities. All these improvements for women’s sports (title 9 I know) but does baseball ever get lights? Doesn’t seem to costly of a venture and can help get more games in and even some hs tournaments?

MLax falls to UMass, 8-4 in road finale

Again, I don’t follow much about lacrosse but the expansion of the game has to be hurting us with colleges out west and now to the south having teams, it is pushing us down the totem pole. Most kids come from private high schools and you would think want go to a private or “public ivy?” has recruiting fallen off? -
Prophete officially gone too. 4 transferring out and another booted from the team mid year. Say what you want about college hoops in the year 2018, but this is a BAD look on both the staff and university. Our best returning player is Jordan McNeil... let that sink in. 1/3 of his career points are against non D1s. what will be worse, the long slow death of football this year or overhauling hoops?
-
the gorham one was inevitable for anyone who watched a game this season..
-
We won 38 games, which everyone has been clamoring about since he turned the program around... Losing one of the best young players in the conference hurts and hurts badly. One of the only players who could create his own shot. Again this isnt the 2006-2011 CAA... every team has made the CAA final in the past 8 years except us and Elon.. It really sucks that mid-majors have been farm systems for Power 5 teams..

with a contact extension. haha its towson, no one cares. status quo. move along, nothing to see here

This is a coaching and staff issue. It isn’t 1980. Games aren’t one by blugining people to death. 3s and dunks. Until we recruit elite guards we will be in a hole. This isn’t 2011 caa and honestly pat should have been passed along by now. His style has not and will not win at this level before everyone attacks me, what did pitt have 1 overachieving year with Dixon? Pats a real nice guy feet family guy and represantive of this school but it’s past time to be a nice guy win something that fing matters but with that said. Daly Bryce and Zane aren’t gods gift to the world and they will see that as they move up.

It is why I was always a fan or Mike, Eddie, TJ and Davis. 4 years out of HS and stuck it out. They didn't run away and transfer like others. Not counting the first year exiles (which we lost 75% of the team) we have: -Hairston -Alston -Marshall -McGlynn -Foster -Astroh -Hawkins -Morman -Matthews -Ingram -Martin -??? along with non-qualifiers. Dang, does our AD know the perfect time to hand out long term extensions... What is going on in the program???

Since the state of athletics has come up. Aside from a better schedule and going to the NCAAs, list your wish list of improvements for SECU and game-day overall. Can be realistic or not. -Change the color of seats in lower bowl. (gold is a bad look when empty) -Move the students, how little they may be, back to the opposite baseline where they are closer to the band and opposing team. -Tarp off the upper level baseline sections with a Tiger logo -Offer better selection of food. crabcakes, crab fries, burgers, pizza, chicken tenders, etc. -Advertise that beer is sold (fairly cheaply) up top -Play highlights and recap of previous games on the big screen before the game. -Show out of town and other CAA scores during breaks (they used to do this) -Sell ad space for the big screen (enough of the whose who at tu bit) -Giveaways for students (shirts, hats, etc) have some incentive where they get a ticket or something for staying until the under 4 timeout or something of that nature -Half court shots/contests for students -Frat and sorority days -Like the orioles, give kids under the age of 13 free tickets to EVERY game with a paying adult. 1 comped child ticket is a drop in the bucket for an adult admission + food/souvenirs and the experience. -Midnight madness -"Indoor Tailgate" for students/alums at Auburn Pavilion or the field house before a big saturday home game -Actually advertise the games. Have at it...

When is signing period for lacrosse? Is it like baseball where they sign after jr year? Sorry not a big lax follower. The increase in teams has to hurt us, being a public school. But always seems like this coach has his team playing it’s best end of season when it counts

Watch them overachieve and go something like 6-5 and Leonard gives him another extension hahah august 31st 2014

SECU/Basketball Game Day Improvements
TuTigers2012 replied to TuTigers2012's topic in Tiger Basketball
Another idea would be to have an Autism Walk/Run, around campus/York Rd the morning of the Autism Awareness game. A way to raise funds for a great charity and to get more people in the area that can go to game. Also stealing from the Atlanta Hawks, a social network/dating night. They did something with the tinder dating app, where people got to meet or something of that nature. I would think college students might have an interest in that. -
Blast from the past. Haha Dave East aka David Brewster from TU hoops lore returns for this years tigerfest.

unless we are in serious rebuild mode, we shouldnt lose to those programs. I mean umbc had their best team in school history and the best player on the court and we still beat them fair handily this year. These are all typically 275+ rpi teams, but yeah sure. -
sheesh. I could see this really pissing off skerry

I disagree, I believe he does hang his hat on those wins.. the "champs of greater Baltimore" as athletics likes to market that crap. We own Morgan/Loyola/UMBC/Coppin?? Yawn what has been their records. They are bad programs and we should beat them more often than not. We squeaked by morgan in football last year. -

I laughed at both the original and response. Both are right and wrong. Students don’t show up. But let’s be honest the caa is not what it used to be in years past and the games are pretty boring. I left more football games early this past year than 10 years prior combined. The football team is BORING and not well coached and trained. But hey let’s have our first home game last week of September total overhaul of football is needed. And to be fair Leonard should be held accountable for his passing extensions out like candy. They could do so much more with football/tailgating and basketball experience that it is laughable. Who the heck is running marketing and promotions??? -
He won’t get drafted. atleast not this year but still also grant got an extensions through 2022-2023 at c of c
-
Not available to us, but big news. Ryan Daly is transferring out of Delaware.
-
Also, very cool idea
-
Isn’t chealey hurt.. hmm
-
The grad transfer rule has severely hurt mid majors. But can’t blame a kid from a smaller program who graduated to want to get a chance at the dance
