Read that one again Wrong-Runda, and read it S-L-O-W-L-Y... So we have the budget and other factors to compete, then why haven't we?! CAA is a dumpster fire. Probably none. WM and Elon have beautiful campus and rich alum so they possible could? JMU, UDel did but they are gone. Who would you say?

My solution is to leave this weak ass conference that lacks leadership. It is also to spend money where our path to success is greatest. It may surprise you that I think there is a sport/funds/scholarships that should be replaced with one that doesn’t get what it needs. And no, I’m not talking about your beloved Fall sport… 100% on the ARETE and shinick train this Fall. Looking forward to see if they can break .500 this year and maybe get to 7-5! What’s your prediction?? I’ve been told by plenty on here (not you) that we just can’t compete with our peers because of money, facilities, NIL etc. so you’re telling me this is not true?! Then our ROI is no good.
-
Ding. What do we want to be?! Tough to have 3 men’s sports and try and be competitive at all 3 with our budget
-
I know they are different level but that’s a heck if a schedule. Minus Stanislaus state. Is that the alma mater of Stan Valchek???

This is good for the games to be Monumental, or whatever it's called, again. Even if it's a few extra eyeballs that happen by chance to land on that channel during one of the games (assuming it's a good game), cannot hurt. This much better than shelling out money for Flo, and much easier to watch other college games, flipping through channels, rather than being on their app and having to switch to cable or another app! Need to continue to get as many games on TV. Hopefully we invested in our production, and it looks more on brand of a D1 institution

90% of people on here are either cheerleaders who are cool with how things are going and just happy to have a team, or depressed and apathetic. To the small % that are not, which includes you and a few others, who know who they are, I apologize that my fandom rubs you the wrong way. I just call it like I see it. My agenda is to see Towson University succeed as a whole as well as athletics. I get that. But because it's been that way, we are just supposed to accept mediocrity? Things can change! No one is asking for us to be Gonzaga of the East. Just to be better. It was nice having a few winning seasons when Skerry took over, then we consecutive winning seasons, then some 20 win seasons sprinkled in, along with top 4 finishes. At some point the next step needs to be taken. We are not competing with the likes of VCU, ODU, Mason, JMU, and Delaware anymore. So why can't we make it to a championship game? Every other team has. Mr. Assumption. Assuming I and others are not happy. Looks to be a solid player, very good athlete. Beating out Iona is a nice thing, since they routinely make it to the dance.

It does. Refer back to tiger 4 life’s original post. But I digress

This. It’s not like other teams in our league are bringing in top 75 national classes. But yet they still win. Finish top half, win 19 games and people are happy. Rinse wash repeat. it’s about development and that has not been a strength of this staff, but hopeful that changes and the returners from last year take a jump. oh and people trash out school because we don’t win the big one or get to the big one, in both hoops and football, but no one cares hence the lack of change or urgency. Other fans of schools know that we will choke at the end.

Barton and Womack are both each 1000.% committed, so that’s 2000%. !
-
Not always a fan of your ideas (floppy hats for one, lol). But this is solid. Especially if you could get them sold at games. No better place to get support and money from, then the few diehards, who are already invested in the programs

Unfortunately Full Tilt on York Rd closed about a year ago. The owner was a Towson Alum.

Seems like a good event. May stop by after work that day. Can we get a Goh Collective Thread pinned somewhere here? That way events and the business who support TU can be easily found and tracked.

Guess he is just picking from returning players..?

No snark. Starting year two away from the last regime, with a weakened down CAA and FCS. Looking forward to how they compete this year, and hopeful that they can finish above .500 after a brutal schedule to start the season. Sounds like we can be entertaining to watch, which since Flacco left, we have been pretty dull. I am hopeful to get out to a few games this year too. Last year the home opener rain/thunderstorm delay, and the Delaware debacle (Left after it was 35-0 a minute into the second quarter).

ARETE!
-
?? Not sure I understand the gripe, especially not knowing when the games are. Something tells me we will be in the Carolinas the last week of the season for what seems like the 10th straight season. Playing them twice instead of four times like last year, is beneficial for unbalanced schedule. IF the two Carolina swings are in the same weeks, we could have only 3 flights total and 1 long bus ride (longer than 2.5 hours). Buies Creek to Burlington and or Wilmington is ~ 1 hour 45 minutes. Hofstra, to me has the easiest potential schedule, again all relative at this point. League did put an emphasis on the local-ish games which is a good thing.
-
It is not last year's schedule, that's for sure! Hofstra, Drexel and us are the only ones who don't play UNCW or Charleston twice. Granted we have them both on the road, and hopefully not back to back. UNCW and Charleston both need to travel to the DAC and Mack, which are always tough places for teams to play. Get the 4 closest teams to us Home and Home.
-
Believe those are for women
-
What’s their incentive? It’s beneficial for them to go this route. Look at the school down the road, that everyone loves, they play no one
-
It’s that NIL!!! Sign me up for a cacok career
-
Iona is (was, new coach and all) a better program than us. Tim Cluess always had them playing well come MAAC tourney time, whereas our coach is maybe as you say ClueLESS (sorry I couldn't resist the pun). My statement was that of the three mid majors they are different tier levels and very different types of schools/campuses.
-
A very unique trio of schools…
-
Baffling, we are just TOO good!
-
The last statement I agree with. Obviously counting Wins and Losses is semantics but there are 2 guarantee losses and another that very high percentage, that leaves 1 loss cushion... tough
