I don’t think they care (outside of Jmu). They know they can’t make the playoff or national championship (besides Jmu who has a trophy case ready to be filled!). The difference between fbs jv and fcs (which let’s face it is like freshman in this comparison) is money. Umass can get 1.2 and 1.8 million to go get crushed by a power 5 team. We can get 250-500k. That’s a big difference and will continue to get larger with the playoff expanded. It will be power 3/4 or whatever there will be, the next level below the new fcs and max and mac etc then there will be the old fcs which would likely have to drop down to d2 or not offer as many scholarships.

Logical. All the other schools at the fcs level who value football (sans the MV and Big Sky) have moved up. They don’t want to be stuck in a league playing, bryant, Hampton, Campbell, NC A&T, etc lol

Not sure there’s ever a cream puff on our schedule when we are Towson. Our losses to lesser programs over the year is noted and embarrassing. Hopefully with a new coach that changes Richmond like the caa has been meh for years. Multiple turnovers and missed field goals will lose games for you. Morgan offense had 5 of their 60 plays account for 60% of their offense…wouldn’t surprise me if we lost. Would be disappointing. need to look how to slow down shirden this week

Ok might be unfair to crush them. The broadcasts from our peer institutions lap us and then some. If the ad is listening to this board. We don’t care about bucket hats, and other dumb things. The quality of broadcasts is huge! New crews, cameras, announcers etc! The play by play guy was good. He was knowledgeable and sounded good. Volleyball, like most here isn’t my strength or interest, but I didn't mind him. they have won early on, but scores haven’t been pretty. are they suffering from the hype of the last few years like men’s hoops circa 2022-23 or is this a bigger concern?
