In the post game questions, it was asked what changed this week From last and one of skerry’s answers was defense. I’m sorry but he has to stop beating only this drum. This team played defense last week, but just could not score worth a shit because no one moved the ball and they didn’t push the tempo.

I think you misinterpreted his answer. He said depth and defense and then sort of corrected himself by going on for 3-4 sentences about how well the ball moved.

He said, “Sometimes the game is as simple as making shots.”

Spread was 2....won by 18 !    told y'all not to BLINK ! got a (good) shot at 4 in a row?  put away the sour candy and enjoy the defense and rebounding calling card...it gives ya a shot night in & night out; then hopefully they make some shots.  Betrand, Fobbs, Gibson, and Timberlake can score/shoot.  The fact those guys are taking'm and the way they are taking'm tells you they CAN shoot (Gray too).  if they roll into W&M at 5-3; surely you can removed the "brown bag campaign" some of y'all wanted for the SECU games?      PS... this layoff/break sux.  shoulda squeezed in that awful Regent game mid this week.  the players 10000% rather play a game, any game, then practice vs each other all week

(9-8 ATS..... 3-3 ATS in CAA)

Big game Saturday. A swing game; either we go on the road over .500 in conference, on a 4-game winning streak or we go in the road under .500 in conference.

Would love to roll into W&M at 5-3, but got to handle business vs JMU & Elon 1st.

JMU is 1-5 in conference (beating only UNCW) & also lost at home to Coppin by 16. There 2 leading scorers average a combined 31ppg, but both shoot under 40%.  They also have a 6’8 250 lb guy (Wilson) who averages 11ppg & 11 boards, so they have some talent.

Swing game, Towson, things going ok?  Let down time.  Jmu is tough for us and always has been even when we had Benimon.

Got to think the Dukes are playing for their coaches job. Elon Uncwx2, WM, Drexel, jmu x2 maybe, Delaware

winning in the CAA matters for 9 of the 10 schools ..

2012, maybe we’ll pull a George Costanza Saturday & do the opposite of what we’ve done against them in the recent past

I hope so. Just don’t like the matchup with them

With this team, it’s about how we come out to play rather than how we match up. We come out and move the ball around to the open man and push the pace (like the last two games) we can beat JMU. If we come out slow and play a bunch of iso ball and jack up bad threes, we will not fare well.

This team has beaten themselves more than anything up until this last week. They started playing as a team and played with energy and that is what changed. It will be interesting to see if they face adversity in this game, do they revert back to the old ways, or band together and fight as a team.
