Transfer Portal thread

Here’s another transfer guy following one of our coaches on Twitter-EJ Anosike from Sacred Heart. 6’6 guy who averaged 15 ppg & 11 boards. With those kind of numbers, he might be too rich for our blood, but who knows

I guess that's good for us and the rest of the CAA that couldn't stop the PNR and Mad Max, but where is he legitimately going to go aside from another mid-major? A 6-5 center who averaged under 9ppg and played great in his six games averaging over 12ppg. He would have to become a three at a bigger place. Maybe he goes A10 or low Big East and can play stretch 4.

The losses of Brace, Roland & Borsiquot will have an adverse impact on NE, but they’ll still have Walters, Walker & Murphy back (presumably), plus whoever else Coen brings in.  Given the cessation of all sports, speculation about next season is one way to try to pass the time

Maybe so but that's who we need to go after. Guys that are eligible and can help us get to the next level. A 6-6, 245 PF who can score, but not a good three-point shooter last year, but was 35% the year before.

I’d go drive to get him now, if he wants to come here.

FWIW, he’s being followed on Twitter by the head coach of Arkansas, & assistants from Creighton & Gonzaga

Obviously, we have 3-4 months to speculate, because not sure when there will be visits. Coen will be fine. Losing Roland is a loss, but he'll be there in the end. Walters and Walker have star potential. Getting Murphy back will be big. I'm sure they'll add a grad transfer or two.

Totally agree. Walker killed us in the 2 games he played vs us, & Walters looks like he’s going to bloom into a big time player next year, based on how he closed this season out. Add in Murphy & a good grad transfer and/or freshman, & there right back in contention next season

The downside of Gibson is that he had issues with quicker point guards like Walker and to a lesser extent Phillips from UNCW. He's not a bad defender and he will get better as he gets stronger. But if it's him and Betrand in the backcourt, we may have issues keeping quicker guards out of the paint unless we go zone. Adding a quicker two or combo would help. I think Timberlake could ultimate guard quicker dudes. That's why move AB (assuming he returns) to the three and look for an athletic combo guard.

Maybe it's not so much Gibson but the combo of him and Betrand.

11 rebounds is a lot. We need to replace almost 20 a game with our 3 seniors..

Arkansas's coach knows what to do with transfers. He is the Transfer Guru

He was a John Davis type player (yes the looking 40 years old helps), except he had alittle more range than JD did.

As long as they have their coach, they will be in contention
