Despite the sloppy play (26 turnovers), this was a pretty good road win. The Mount is no joke. They beat us last year and they have a win over Delaware 10-7. Shane Brennan was great in net with 19 turnovers and while we did lose 12 of 20 face-offs. That's an improvement on the 26% we were before the game. We also may have found somebody in Drew Martin, a 6-3 transfer from Air Force. Usually, you don't see many FOGO's that tall. But whatever it takes to win or at least go 50%. He won 5 of 8 and that's Alex Woodall numbers compared to what we've been getting.

On offense, James Avanzato is playing well with 3 goals and 2 assists in that feeder role. Another two goals from Brody McLean and Andrew Milani. Still not enough from the first midfield so they played four different units. I do like the potential of Austin Stewart, who had a goal. Casey Wasserman also scored and had an assist. Ryan Swain had two goals so the first unit with Greg Ey, did a much better job. That big freshman line featuring 6-4 Jamison Gaskins, 6-5 Austin Ducommin and 6-5 Pat Anderson moved up to the second unit. Just one point (an assist by Gaskins)

Richmond will be an interesting matchup, and a challenge. They lost to Loyola in OT and to UNC by the comparatively close score of 14-9. I can't say I like our chances, but the Spiders aren't on par with U-Va. or Duke.

Richmond crushed us last year (2019) in fall ball.  Granted everyone played in the scrimmage but Richmond's first string took it to our first string.  One thing with Nadelen he schedules a tough out of conference schedule.

Richmond a new program?  They seem to fit the mold of a lacrosse school
