Tom Flacco Training Camp Presser

Recommended Posts

He is going to have a hard time breaking camp with the Roughriders, Paxton Lynch is battling him for the backup job, but the Riders think enough of Tom to send him out to the media.

The height isn’t as deadly a factor in the CFL since the linemen tend to be shorter. We will see if he has the arm strength for the wide side out in that league.

Still, if someone see something in him he could make a squad as the 3rd down QB, the guy who sneaks on 3rd and one. Because the    “defence” has to line up one yard off of the ball, everyone goes on most 3rd and one situations. Many teams don’t want to risk the starter on those plays.

Probably should have tried to play slot WR in the NFL. Certainly doesn’t help that’s he’s 26.

Maybe he’ll try that in one of the spring leagues if this doesn’t work out…

Tom was released today. He lost the battle for practice squad QB to Mason Fine from North Texas. The Roughriders kept Paxton Lynch as the 3rd QB. We will see if any other team shows an interest.
