Chris Datres 423 Report post Posted December 3, 2021 Team played hard but fell in 4 sets. Got off to a terrible start in Set 1, down 10-1 right off the bat. Rallied back in Set 2 and finished it off with an insane rally illustrated in the tweet above. Sets 3 and 4, Penn State just showed off their skills -- better hitting, better defense and blocking. We just made a few too many errors which against a team like that, you can't afford. But a great fight out of the ladies and they never folded the tent because it would have been very easy to do so after that first set. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

TigersTigers 69 Report post Posted December 4, 2021 A very good match tonight. What satisfies me is the fact that we played pretty well, and it just wasn’t enough to win. Outside of the first set, it was well-contested, and Penn State certainly had to think harder than they would have wanted to. By now we’ve established ourselves as a mid-major power, but we’re still not quite good enough to challenge the big boys.
