Dont know what any of them are getting at. Good effort in the second half for sure. They were playing hard.

I’ve heard from multiple officials that we were one of the dirtier teams they had this year.

The F1 against Wake, Holden totally baited the kid. Ref should have had a foul on us prior.

that being said. I thought the crew could’ve done a better job managing the game. First half fouls I thought wake was getting marginal calls and we had bodies going to the floor and there was nothing

Towson teams typically play hard and are always straddling that line. It’s not a bad thing IMO but when you try and play hard nose defense and grind it out, fouls and physical play look worse than they are.  This isn’t the wm finesse teams under Shaffer

We get lots of crap, men’s and women’s, from opposing conference fans on our style. I always tried to think of it as they had the attitude that “they are these new programs that have always sucked and have sour grapes”. But seeing other schools outside of the caa say the same is more of a pattern.
The last couple minutes were ugly. Holden definitely baited the guy in. There was a elbow early. Nolan just shoving a guy away from the play. Those weren’t hard and physical plays. They were dumb and frustration filled

First half was hard to watch. That slow start ultimately killed us, but I'm proud of how the team didn't quit and made it a game (sort of) in the second half. Rally disappointed with some of the guard play last night and that was the same way I felt during the CAAT. Poor shooting, both in selection and execution, and playing out of control at times.

On another note, the WF fans calling our players "thugs" should be embarrassed.

Appreciate this board and all of the contributors that keep me in the know about Towson sports and specifically our 🏀 team.

I enjoyed the ride this season and I’m heading into the off-season again as Mr Optimism that this core group can return and deliver us an even more special 2022-2023 season although the odds are against it after winning 25 games but my gut says that our trio of CT, NT & Gibby can improve their games individually and keep this winning culture going.

Love to meet all of you at an NCAA pod especially “2012” who I know annoys many of you but I do like having him on this board as he keeps us on our toes and reminds us that need to strive for more as a fanbase.

Love Towson and want to win.  I’m looking forward to the team coming West this coming season or the next supposedly!

The team got comfortably behind before it started to play well last night. Actually had to hold my breath last night as I took Wake Forest -8, just did not like how they played in DC and although Wake may have been disappointed in not making the field of 68, it is not like they are a perennial tournament program so I figured they play well.

What a dizzying down spiral to end the season.  Kind of wonder how the season would have played out if the last 18 minutes of the Delaware game happened when it was suppose to happen how would things played out.  Kind of seems looking back that the season kind of ended there for some.  On to football now as lacrosse seems like it will be a lost season.

Its basketball and i think these fans who complain are pompous. Not all teams play alike. I love that every opposing coach we play speaks to how physical of a team we are. Regardless, we compete. I could give 2 f's what refs think anyway lol.

Not a great way to end a really positive season (I am referring to the last two games we played). That felt like the first time since the Monmouth game that a team just came out and buried us. To our credit, we never gave up and the Chase Paar missed layup felt like a point where it was early enough in the second half that we could have got it down to nine and made it interesting. We missed a lot of those opportunities, but I am not going to pretend like we ever had a chance of winning this game. Wake was much better than us and ran us off the court in the first half.

I am very interesting to see VCU-Wake because Wake's press break was the most pathetic I have seen this year. They struggled with some of that against BC. We talk about this every year, but I really would like to be a team that presses more if possible. It has worked well in spells and we had decent personnel for it this year. I don't think we can do 40 minutes of it, but I would like to use it more if possible.

The poor play from Terry Nolan Jr. in the conference tournament carried over to the first half, but he seemed to have a much stronger second half as part of the pressure that we are applying. Still, he took some awful shots and was 3-15 from the field. I get that Skerry wants him to inject energy off the bench, but I have not really understood why Nolan Jr. isn't starting right away when he helps be a better team in so many ways when he is engage and playing well (which he has not been the last three games).

Once again, I really liked the way Charles Thompson played but the more I watch the more I think a major goal for us next year would be to continue to get some transfers/players that can take the scoring load off of Thompson and Timberlake. Both guys are at their best when they can score by the chances they get in the offense. We are a worse team, when we forcing it and relying on them to be scorers. Charles' development has been unbelievable, but I think some next steps in his evolution would be quicken up his post moves and improve his handle enough so he is a threat to take it quickly and decisively to the basket in one-on-one matchups. His post moves can take a long time to develop and can sometimes slow down the offense.

This was a great season, but two very dissatisfying games to build on and get better from. Time to grind, get some high quality transfers from the portal, and keep moving in a positive directions.
