Are you trying to troll? WTF would you not want to recruit the state of Maryland, D.C. and NOVA, when the previous staff obviously had some issues with it and get back to finding players from DeMatha, Good Counsel, etc. Not talking about Baltimore. The DMV.

Does it matter? Ask Delaware if it matters. They find a ton of 3* guys in our state and well, they may not coach them up but they get talent from our backyard.

Doesn’t matter where they come from as long as they can play.  There are good players all over just need to find them. If you want to ask why guys from here are going to Maine and unh and kicking our asses well everyone seems to do that. Recruiting is as much luck as skill. Rob had a horseshoe up his ass the first few years.
Plenty of talent in other states.

Looking more into this new coach, he seems like a good fit for 2023. He’s a lot different  it seems than Ambrose whose style isn’t accepted by this generations athlete…

While it’s true that a good player is a good player, regardless of where he’s from, I strongly believe there is value in protecting your borders and keeping good in-state talent in-state. It’s about establishing a pipeline, such that future good MD players will want to come here. Keeping good talent home not only helps in the present, but, as I said, it hopefully lays the groundwork for future recruiting. And, it keeps potentially good players from playing against us, instead of for us
