Transfers vs. non-Transfers

Recommended Posts

According to the internet roster, there are 39 transfers (not 51). Could be a mistake, but anyhow, I wanted to show the divide of my speculative starters. Who are the transfers and who are not?

Speculative depth chart. T-for Transfer

QB T. Pigrome (Ole Miss/Wky/Md-T)

RB J. Bangda (Kent State-T)

FB Hamilton

LT Josh Roberts (Lafayette-T)

LG J. Germain

C Cheripko

RG Julian Singh (LIU-T)

RT Warheit

TE Malik Jackson (Md-T)

WR J. Allen

WR D. Street

WR D.K. James (Norfolk State-T)

Defense

DE Mason Cholewa (JMU/UCF-T)

NG V. Shaffer (D2-T)

DE J. Gibbs (South Carolina-T)

OLB/DE/EDGE T. Reece (Indiana-T) or S. Haltiwanger (SC State-T)

OLB D.Raymond/Jamal Gay

ILB Mason Woods

ILB Ryan Kearney

S Robert Topps (Kansas-T)

S Juwan Burgess (Indiana-T)

CB Dorian Davis (So. Illinois-T) or Makai Self (Penn State-T)

CB Sean Tucker (ECU-T) or r-F Shafeek Smith

Could be 14 of 22 starters who are transfers and that's conservatively speaking.

There’s no way RA wants to make this a habit, if he survives this season. This was move he had to make, but if they want more consistent sucess, having 55 newcomers is not the way to go. Fortunately, there are only about a handful of grad transfers in that bunch so many will be eligible to return. Two of the grad transfers who will be gone are the QBs. I have no issues with going after transfer QBs if they can help you win. Flacco and Enders were two success stories so it can sort out.

A strong offense starts up front and I don’t know if we’ll be cohesive enough with at least two new transfer starters. I’ll find out more on Saturday.
