Don't have the time for the write up. Towson led 26-24 at the half and then turned it on in the second half. They led several times by 15 points, but couldn't close the Huskies. They just made enough plays and free throws to hold on at the end. Charles Thompson scored 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting with seven rebounds and two blocks. Nicolas Timberlake added 14 points on 4-of-13 shooting (3-5 3pt). Cam Holden, who started the second half, but not the first, added 13 points, 10 rebounds and four assists.

Towson committed just five turnovers and shot 7-of-17 (41%) from long range. They came into this game ranked second in the CAA in three-point shooting.

With Drexel losing tonight to NCA&T on the road, Towson and Hofstra are now tired for 2nd place at 7-2 behind Charleston at 9-0. UNCW just got by Monmouth tonight by 3. Delaware lost to Hampton by one on the road.

Well, we held serve tonight, and need to continue stacking W’s on Saturday vs W&M. CT really stepped up offensively in the 2nd half, which came in handy, seeing as NT & Cam shot a dreary 9-30 combined (although Cam did contribute nicely in other facets). These slow starts are vexing (Hofstra, Elon and tonight) as is almost yakking away big leads the last two games. But at this point in the season a W is a W, and we remain in 2nd place in the conference

This is who this team is and has been.

Expectations suck. Any other time we’d be psyched to be 7-2 in CAA play

Expectations suck when you don’t live up to them. Towson athletics had never performed well with a target on their backs
there’s still time left but no one can honestly thinks this team can win 3 in 3.

There's no doubt, we were spoiled from last season's team that just rolled most people in conference play (and it was a stronger conference). There's still time to get in a groove like that, but I think this is what we are. A good team that's trying to become a great one. Trying to get a top four seed, which looks like it can happen. I did like the fact that we pushed the ball off of misses in the second half. There's a lot of standing around in our halfcourt set waiting for #55 to make a play. No reason why we can't get some points in transition and let our athletes get out and run.
