Tiger Baseball starts today at South Carolina Upstate

Today's game is at 3 p.m. on ESPN+. The play USC-Upstate tomorrow along with Southern Illinois and then play USC-Upstate again on Sunday. Here is the preseason poll, which we are predictably picked 10 of 11. Stony Brook adds a CWS participant to the league. Of course, that was a while ago.

Rough weekend for the Towson 9.  I know the program was in critical condition a few years ago as the plug was almost pulled, but is this program growing or will it stay muddled in mediocrity?  Mediocre might be an overstatement.  I love baseball and would love to see them be somewhat respectable.

Yeah same. I wish we were semi decent. Not sure that’s going to happen. I know there are limitations based off money and geography but ne is always good. Hofstra is somewhat good.  It’s difficult to compete with the Carolina schools but we seem to be stuck being a bottom 2-3 program.  
the spring sports have been below mediocre in the last 4-5 seasons

Maybe the should have dropped TU Baseball when they got rid of soccer. Put that money towards the winning basketball and football programs

One team ranked below Towson in the preseason coaches poll (NC A&T) and we go out and lose two of three to start the conference season. As everyone said, underfunded with no expectations.

Fought hard against a good Charleston team last two days and lost both in extras. Same old Towson story, but this one had to be taken with a grain of salt. Just sucks they haven’t been able to finish. Would be Nice to have a spring sport at Towson!
