Ok, May 11 is coming up so there will be no more undergrads available after that. I assume Settle and Jordan Riley will have their visits end closely. Who the hell knows if they will commit this week. R.J. Blackney is still out there though I wonder how long we will wait. I really don't know the entire situation with Marcus Watson of NC A&T is because he's been out there for awhile and he's a top 100 talent.

So, here's what we have left. We definitely need some length because Jones is only 6-6 and while Paar and Tejada are over 6-8, we could use a longer wing and at least one great athlete (May and Jones are pretty athletic. So is Cole).  Blackney (6-7ish) and Settle (6-10) would be great lengthy fits for defense. Blackney is a great athlete. Settle appears to be a smooth scorer. Watson is a great athlete and built like a brick s-house for his frame (6-6, 235). He can also score, which we also need. He's more of a proven scorer than all four mentioned including Jordan Riley, who is athletic as hell, but didn't score a lot in spotty minutes at Gtown, but the Big East was arguable the 2nd-best conference in the nation after the Big 12. After those four, I really don't know who the targets might be.

C Thompson, Paar

PF Messiah Jones, Coleman, T. Tejada

SF May, M. Lowery

SG Conway, Jaiden Cole

PG Hicks, Williamson

If the basketball gods smile on us (questionable possibility, at best) I would be happy with any combination of the following 3, for our last two openings: Settle, Riley, Watson. If we can’t get 2 of those 3, at least get 1, preferably Watson or Settle. If we can’t get any of those 3, well, D2 and/or JUCO here we come

And another one bites the dust. Calling all D2 and JUCO transfers, please report to the courtesy phone in the SECU arena lobby.

I would say we must be offering these guys confederate money, but I guess we don’t even have that in our NIL. Do we even have enough to take one of these kids out to Subway for lunch when they visit?🤔. Hope I’m proven wrong, but the circumstantial evidence suggests we would have to buy a bag of potato chips on layaway with the pittance we have in our NIL. This of course begs an obvious question-why did it take so long for us to launch our NIL? Buehler, Buehler?

That makes sense. I didn't think we were going to beat out Temple for Riley. However, I was holding out hope they might have someone else they would take instead. This sucks, because he would have been a perfect breakout candidate for us. Fringe top 100 recruit, who was totally misused in two years by Patrick Ewing. I think he could have been a home run for us.

TSU88, you may be right but there are still 4-5 more kids we can get before having to go the D-2 or juco route. As Matt has said Settle would be a solid get for us still. Seems like GW is the main competition now that Temple has grabbed Riley, but who knows. I didn't realize Blakney was still out there. I remember when Thompson decided he was coming back someone had said he was pretty solid bet to end up here. I hadn't hear Watson's name much in the mix.

Are Rivera, Tarke and Maletic still out there or has someone grabbed them too? They all seemed like solid options as well.
