Hopefully some fresh blood and a new voice can breathe some new life into a program that will already be going over major change this season. Do we turn to a veteran who was a former head coach like Clark was when he joined the program in his early 50s? Or do we go with an assistant, say from the DMV? Or young assistant who is on the rise? Assistants are important and you need good ones who can connect with the players. But with NIL, the recruiting part isn’t quite as important as it once was. Bay Area Tiger 347 Report post Posted June 3, 2023 I heard the story yesterday how Mad Dog Russo’s son Tim landed at Northern Arizona as a 3rd assistant after his stint with UConn. Maybe Pat should hire him since he’s God’s gift to basketball knowledge. I have said this many times - the ignore feature is a glorious thing. It was kinda funny that he knew the high school coach who nearly chased me out of a building after a game a few years ago.
