The designated Towson fan/family section behind the Towson bench maybe had 50 people. I didn’t see any other random Towson fans around the stadium. It was funny, several Bearcat fans approached me to make small talk as if I was some weird novelty. They had no clue about our school….where we are located, our conference, etc. You would have thought I flew in from Mars. It was a perfect reminder of why making the NCAA Tournament in men’s hoops is the BEST opportunity for schools to get some outstanding marketing and publicity. mat1992 2,373 Report post Posted September 1 Another way of reaching fans outside of the East Coast is to send players to the NFL and have them make an impression. Before I got to Towson (State_, people in New York/New Jersey were very familiar with the school because Dave Meggett and Sean Landeta were stars on the NY Giants.
