On an off day, this just happened.....

Recommended Posts

Morgan State shocks No. 4 NC&T, 16-13 on a last-second field goal on the road. NC&T had won 15 straight games including defeating East Carolina by 5 on the road this year. You can say ECU sucks but they crushed North Carolina by 22. earlier. Wake Forest got worked by Notre Dame, 56-27 at home.

Everybody knows about former CAA member ODU upsetting Va. Tech at home for one of the biggest upsets over the last decade.

In CAA action, JMU crushed W&M 51-0, Villanova squeaked by Bucknell, 49-7, Elon got by Charleston Southern 31-22; Stony Brook hammered Richmond 36-10; Maine fell at Central Michigan 17-5; Delaware fell at ND State, 38-10; and as I'm typing this Albany has been struggling to get by St. Francis (PA), 35-28 very late in that one.

I would think Morgan’s W is good for us, no?  Albany barely beat Morgan last week & is fighting for dear life vs St. Francis tonight.

I’m glad Maine lost today; a W over an FBS team (albeit a bad one, in Central Michigan) would have given them a leg up on us (though they only lost by 12, while we lost to our FBS opponent by 31).

Stony Brook (3-1) plays Nova next week, so it’ll be good for us that 1 of them is obviously going to lose next weekend

Well, Morgan’s W tonight leaves them at 1-3, but good for them; undoubtedly a big W for them, especially since they are ineligible for postseason play

Villanova's win over Temple is looking better now, as the Owls improved to 2 - 2, by beating Tulsa. So Temple beat Terps, and Terps are now 3-1 with wins over Texas (3-1), Bowling (1-3) & Minnesota (3-1). Texas beat #17 TCU(2-2), USC(2-2) & Tulsa(1-3) by 7. Hopefully this all helps us somehow. Am thinking some of those teams will end up in Bowl games.

On another note, I saw Florida State (2-2) is looking very Mediocre this year. Unimpressive wins over Samford (36-26) & 37- 19 over N Illinois. They used to be so dominating. The only win for Samford(1-3) was against Shorter (DII).

Great to see that. Is this the 1st time we’ve been ranked since the 2013 season?

Pretty amazing that 28% of the top 25 teams are from the CAA. We still have to play 4 of the other 6 ranked CAA teams, having already played Nova. 3 of those games are at home (JMU, Maine & Stony Brook) with Elon on the road.

Got to hand it to Rhode Island. Looks like this is a good year not to be playing them.

Not sure why RI is ranked. They beat a bad Delaware team that is not ranked, and a bad Albany team - not ranked. We beat, at the time, the #9 team. They are now #14. We should be ranked higher than them.  Plus or other win vs Morgan State. They just beat the then #5 team NCA&T (Now 16)
