JMU Postgame

Recommended Posts

ROOOOOOOOBY ROOBY ROOOOOOOOOO!!

Albany hits a FG at the horn to beat Stony Brook 25-23!!

So the CAA final standings are Maine & JMU at 8-3, they're in.  Delaware, Towson, SB at 7-4 and Elon at 6-4.  Gotta think with head-to-heads over SB and Elon, we're in a lot better shape if it comes down to that, which it should.  Thanks, Albany!!

Oh yeah, and UNH is 4-7 so we may have to sweat that one too.

Jared is a horrible OC but as long as RA is here we are stuck with Jammer.

The offense wasn't a problem against bad teams but struggled against good defenses later in the season, especially in the red zone. Some of that was on the O-line, some of it on Flacco. The WRs couldn't get open today for the most part and when they could downfield, Flacco missed them. They gave up some underneath stuff but they took away our running game. With that being said, I don't see a change happening.

I am bummed this evening, But nothing like after the Delaware and Maine games.

We were just simply beat by a stronger faster smarter team

JMU looked and played bigger, faster and stronger than us.  A very disappointing performance today.

No doubt, Ambrose mentioned they were longer and a little taller. But that doesn't excuse the defense giving up nearly 400 yards on the ground. John Daka, who was once a Towson commit, had two sacks.

That was the best team we played all year, including Wake Forest, especially on defense. How they lost at UNH is beyond me. Shows how good Elon was when they had their starting QB and RB. The difference between those teams is our defense is not up to par and our running game is not good enough.

We have a lot of work to do in the off-season on our D. I wonder if that might include a new coordinator.

This isn’t rocket 🚀 science or brain 🧠 surgery. We need bigger, stronger, faster players. Up to the coaches to get them.

TODAY JMU was the better team. That does not mean they would be the better team next Saturday

Uggh no. They were just better period. Was Flacco great? No he was off target on several throws but we needed to be perfect to beat them. They dominated on both lines and that shows you were recruiting comes in. You need some 2* and 3* linemen to compete. Not just transfers. We do have a big kid coming who is 325 and supposedly legit to help the D-line but we also need more athletes and length on both lines.

There is no question they were better.....today. Was UMBC better than UVA....no, but on that night they were. Towson is a talented football team and TODAY they were not as good as JMU........is the glass half empty or half full
