Football to face Duquesne in first round of FCS playoffs

Recommended Posts

If we handle the cold weather -- and Duquesne -- we'll get  a taste of bitter cold the following week at S.D. State. The high yesterday was 17 (and that's not factoring in the wind). But first things first, which is not to take Duquesne lightly. We lost to the NEC's Central Connecticut back in 2014, and St. Francis has played us tough.

I already looked at the forecast for 13 days from now, assuming that's when it will be played though it could be Friday. I think was around 42 degrees. We would luck out if we get that instead of Friday's 25.

I’m not a meteorologist but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Select last night. Actually, the online accuweather forecast for this Saturday is mostly cloudy with a few showers & a high of 51 degrees.

Not surprised we got in, but REALLY surprised we got a home game not that we have any sort of home field advantage, especially since we have lost a couple of games there including last Saturday.  The fact it is Thanksgiving Weekend means there will be hardly anyone there.  That being said happy to be in the dance and have a chance to compete.  Looking forward to watching the game on Saturday on ESPN3.

The CAA commissioner should be under fire for the fact that there is no TV contract to see these teams.  There is no better way to highlight your conference.  Get on TV, get on something that if the game is not on TV it is easily accessible online.  CAA.TV does not cut it.

Geography, Geography, Geography.  The NCAA only cares about saving money. It was either NEC champ or a SOCON team for us in the first round.   Duquense also probably did not big and their stadium is 1/6 our size..

Yeah, D'Antonio should take the pads, helmet, field hockey stick and baseball bats down and actually do his job. There is no excuse to not be on TV

From the Duquesne Board

”My only other experience with TOWSON is many years ago, at OC Maryland for a week and having the pleasure of having a group of very impressive Towson St, ladies sitting next to us on the beach all week.  I nicknamed them the Towson State Seduction Team!  It certainly brightened up our week at the beach!”
