Today’s performance was dreck

Recommended Posts

I invite any Skerry supporter to rationalize to me how he should not be held accountable for the dreck I foolishly paid good $ to watch in person today.

He was thoroughly out coached by “the great Bozeman” who clowned us by going to the press. It appeared to the naked eye as though we had never seen a press before. Either we weren’t prepared for it (coach’s responsibility , as I see it) and/or we don’t have the talent to handle it (coach’s responsibility as I see it).

I’m anticipating the “we’re a young inexperienced team” explanation. RUBBISH!! Howard & Sanders have prior D1 experience as do Thomas, Tunstall & McNeil.

Mark the time & date, 12/8/18 at 4:17pm-at MOST this team will win 3 more games this year. It is entirely possible we will not win a single conference game.

Someone must be accountable for this dreck, but I suspect no one will be.

We won’t win again. Keep playing 2 ,44 they wouldn’t sniff the court in the pk days.  The talent level has gotten worse and worse under skerry

Bur itd ok, clueless Leonard, will walk around eating popcorn.   He needs to go as well

loyola Chicago Rotating And switches on d so well. It’s not even the same sport.

21 TURNOVERS. Unacceptable.

Someone needs to explain why McNeil even sees the floor.  In all fairness, I’m sure he’s trying his best & I want him to get a degree and be a great success off the court, but his game is just really, really bad. But he’s far from the only culprit-Sanders commits too many fouls & turnovers, Howard was dreadful vs the press, Betrand looks utterly lost out there, and just about everyone joined in the parade of mind numbing turnovers.

This is a lost season. MAYBE 2-3 more W’s-MAYBE

It is important that these kids LEARN tho. With the transfer coming in next season and no jordan and al I am optimistic for next year

I’m a Skerry supporter, but I’m speechless today.

It makes me uncomfortable calling for people’s jobs, but he HAS to make some adjustments the rest of the year.

I get it’s a new team with many inexperienced players, but the rotation/substitutions need to be figured out. If I recall, towards the end of the game, Fobbs was subbed out for Solomon...

The recurring “it’s a new team” or “it’s a young team” needs to stop. Skerry is the one that put this team together. It is not as if someone on the street to,d him he had to coach a new or inexperienced team.

If you get extensions when you win, you take the heat when they don’t

Brad, I wholeheartedly agree that it’s awkward, at best, to advocate for a coach to get axed, especially a guy like Skerry who is a great family guy, graduates kids & rescued our program from the abyss. We’re talking livelihoods, I totally get it. But at what point do on-court results supersede all those things?

I contend that the program is treading water, if not out & out regressed. The “he rescued us from the Pat Kennedy debacle” while true, rings hollow with age now. At the 8-year mark, we’re farther away from winning a regular season conference championship and/or conference tournament as we were when Skerry took over. I defy anyone to tell me different & keep a straight face while telling me.

He shouldn’t have made it this long. Great person, father but not a great coach. I wouldn’t mind him as an ad as he cares, is pationate  and has charisma unlike Leonard
