Feel bad for the kid. Hope it doesn’t have a long term debilitating effect on him. Jim Marshall ran the wrong way for a TD once, & he wound up in the Hall of Fame. 

Put the kid back in next game & try to move on. He’s going to need thick skin, as I would think opposing crowds will not let him live it down

I already posted the link in the other thread. It doesn't really need to be highlighted again since it's all over Twitter. The kid f-ed up. Yes, he's going to hear about it all year. But hey, we love to hurt our own. You see the stuff on Twitter. "Typical Towson" "Can't believe I graduated there". It's bad enough we lost the game but he'll get over it. You need thick skin to be a Towson fan/alum.

I posted this before your recap. But I saw Towson on the front page of espn and had no idea what was going on until I clicked the link. The kid will be alright though...
