On Sunday, Towson had the JMU women down, 55-49 with 3:32 left in regulation. That had pretty much dominated the second half. Had a nine-point lead. Most of the without Kiona Jeter, who picked up her fourth foul at the beginning of the third quarter. But they didn't score the rest of regulation. Settled for too many 3s. Ended up with N. Mayo driving with the game tied at 55-55 and she was called for a charge (good call). Towson scored just one basket in overtime and fell 71-59 to the Dukes, who are now 8-1 in the league. Tough one to say the least. Tough weekend. But the WBB team has major, major strides. They should have defeated the best team in the league on the road if they could make just one more bucket down the stretch. Jeter and Mayo combined for 8 of 35 shooting and 1 for 9 from 3pt.
