  1. JMU has one major problem. They are in Harrisonburg, VA. No TV market, which means they bring nothing to the table. They ain't going anywhere.
  2. They blew double digit leads in the second half to two of the worst teams in the conference. Inexcusable. Just because you bloviate on here all the time doesn't make you a bigger fan than others. I just think you enjoy being miserable.
  3. Northeastern has been unlucky?? Because your beloved Coach Coen isn't having a good year?? My god man. How about they blew double digit leads to Elon and UNCW in the final 10 minutes. That's not unlucky that's choking. If that happened to Towson you would be screaming your lungs out about bad contract extensions and how horrible everything is. I'm sorry this season hasn't played out to your narrative. The Tigers are exceeding pre season expectations and it's killing you. Man up.
  4. Last night was horrible. Drexel outscored us by 15 over the last 12 minutes. The whole staff should be fired and all the players exiled to Goucher.
  5. Pat Kennedy should have been arrested for theft. The man spent more time at Joey Chu's lounge then he did at the university. Any one associated with that sh***tshow should know better than to compare it to Pat Skerry. If they can't tell the difference they are lost. By the way, 2 years ago was the highest the CAA was ever ranked. Ever.
  6. The Liberty game is part of 4 team tournament. The other 2 schools are Tulane and Akron.
  7. I agree.
  8. Attendance at playoff games have nothing to do with whether you get in or not. Teams bid for home games, and whether you draw 50 or 50,000, the NCAA is getting whatever you bid. My guess, Towson does not bid for a home game. We will be on the road.
  9. We are currently 10th in the Sagarin ratings. With one Ivy ahead of us. So 9th in teams eligible for the playoffs. We are also currently 12th in the Massey ratings, with 2 Ivy's ahead of us. So 10th in teams eligible for the playoffs. In 2012 we were 23rd in the final Sagarin ratings. Big change, although we did get screwed big time.
  10. We are 16th in both the Sagarin and Massey ratings. With two more wins we are in. One loss we are out. It is that simple.
  11. We just beat a team by 17 on the road, who had taken JMU to overtime, beat Villanova on the road, and we are nitpicking because we didn't win by more?? Really?? Half our starting secondary is injured, our best linebacker has been out since the first game, and our stud transfer D-lineman played like half a game before getting hurt. Oh, and our 1st team all-American running back/kick returner hasn't played since the first conference game of the year. There are two games left and this team is poised to make the playoffs. For once can the players get some credit for winning?? Who cares how many you win by. Especially on the road.
  12. We cannot now or ever compare ourselves to JMU. They are NOT our peer. In football our only peer in the CAA is Villanova. Both FCS football in a metropolitan area with the NFL. In basketball our peers are Drexel and Northeastern and to an extent Hofstra. Again mid major hoops in a metropolitan area. JMU is the only game in town. It's the only game in a 90 mile radius. Plus, where do their students come from?? I don't have facts on this but I would be that most of their students live farther from home than Towson's. Thus, more of their students stay on campus most weekends and don't head home to PG and Montgomery County. Or to Jersey. Plus, I went to the Madison game and the announced attendance was not what was in the stadium. And it was their homecoming. If it was sold out, there were about 5,000 no shows. Or like at Towson, they stayed in the parking lot and never came to the game. I tailgate with 10 others every week, and homecoming I have never seen the parking lots as packed as they were. Went in to watch the game, and we all looked around and said where the hell did everybody go?? So, someone, be it the athletic dept or whoever, is getting people to Johnny U parking lots, now they gotta figure out how to get them into the stadium
  13. 0 assists 6 turnovers against a D2. Good riddance. All he did for us is miss free throws with the game on the line.
  14. BLounge, thanks for some common sense. According to the latest Sagarin ratings, Towson is 19th in FCS. Folks around here acting like Towson football is the 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We have been through much worse. The end of the Phil Albert era, the end of the Gordy Combs era. In hoops the entire Mike Jaskulski and Michael Hunt eras. And of course the mother of all disasters the Pat Kennedy era. A guy who had possibly the greatest player in school history fall into his lap and couldn't get a winning record. Every coach, manager and trainers during those years should never show their faces at Towson again. Anyone part of that program should slither under a rock and never be heard from again.
  15. What does that mean? "Real money spent". Also, I don't know about this year, but the team has never flown to Stony Brook in the past.
