That would be poetic, wouldn’t it!?

Also, I’m thinking our neighbors down the street at Loyola might be in the market for a new coach sooner than later….maybe they like what they’ve seen from PS over the years?

Like they could afford him.  Would love if they could and made that move but ain’t happening

It’s a “which came first, the chicken 🐓 or the egg 🥚 “ debate. As I’ve said before, personally I’d be bitterly disappointed if we ever dropped football, which I doubt is going to happen in any event. I will say this though;  our new president comes from George Mason, which has no football program. It would be interesting to get him off the record, to see if he feels that ultimately we’d be better served by concentrating more on basketball over football

Just giving facts. The non football schools are and have been more successful in basketball. There’s more money for those programs since football is very expensive to field.
I’m not saying cut football. But if we do continue to play this fcs level of football or whatever, let’s hope our next conference (wherever and whenever that may be) has a full compliment of teams playing ALL sports so that everyone is in the same boat.

A coach who rebuilt DePaul came to Towson and burned it to the ground gets replaced by a  Towson coach who tries to go to DePaul and rebuild?! 😂   Circle of life

Word on the street is that DePaul is looking at this former Chicago Bull, who turned a ragtag bunch of LA. kids into champs

As luck might have it, I think I have a winning scenario for us!

Dartmouth!! Dartmouth is a basketball graveyard in the Ivy. If they can just go ahead and sack David McLaughlin it opens up an absolutely fantastic opportunity for Coach Skerry to get back to New England and to a prestigious university. He gets them to respectability, we get a new coach…..it’s a win-win-win scenario!!

Will their union vote YES on Skerry?!😂

The players on Dartmouth just voted to unionize. I wonder if their shop steward would approve of Skerry? After all, he might make them do dehumanizing stuff, like run wind sprints and practice rebounding

Skerry is the Jimmy Hoffa of college coaches, they’ll love him.

I dunno, Hoffa supposedly got whacked and buried in the Meadowlands. Although Dartmouth players have an Ivy League stupidity, so who knows what they’d do with Skerry

If early skerry was still around, he would not be approved.  Talk about someone who cleaned their act up at the right time.  His words and other actions that were ok in 2011-2014 would not be acceptable in 2024!

Can you please give us some examples of throwback Pat's words and actions from the early 2010's that wouldn't be okay today?

Pretty much every 4 letter word under the sun as well as other slurs.  Not to mention some of the assistants actions..
Not saying almost every other coach didn’t or hasn’t used language like that and acted that way.  Times have changed

We had a coach here at USF back in the late 90’s Phil Matthews who called his players a very derogatory word during the game religiously.  Couldn’t do that today but it was common place back then.
