Tgr4life Posted April 26, 2024 Report Posted April 26, 2024 The whole NIL and portal process makes you wonder what you are really giving money for. If you are from a P5 school, then you are "supporting" a professional team. In doing so, you have to think, do you just donate money to the Washington Wizards? P5 college athletics is another name for minor league professional athletes. If you are a mid-major (in basketball...since football already has the two setups FBS and FCS) you are giving money in hopes that once every 10 years or so, you hit a home run, get to the dance, get blown out by UCON and watch all of your players leave. I really don't know what I think the answer might be, but whatever it is, it something different than we are doing now. 2 Quote
Tiger93 Posted April 26, 2024 Report Posted April 26, 2024 It probably won't matter as much this offseason since we seem set on keeping most if not all of our guys, but I thought this was pretty impressive that someone is tracking all of the rosters and transactions. Seems like almost an impossible task in this day and age. https://x.com/2ndChancePoints/status/1783215616029012164 Quote
TuTigers2012 Posted April 26, 2024 Report Posted April 26, 2024 Another solid pick up for Charleston in the portal Quote

With that said, I wish him luck there, just thankful that he didn't go another 100 miles down the coast... Quote

If for instance he has a good season (by which I generally mean averaging in double digits) this coaching staff should be (but won’t be) held accountable for why they jettisoned him and kept certain other players on the roster. 1 Quote

A lot of things to be held accountable for......just an addition to the list 1 Quote

What gives you the impression that they jettisoned him? Quote
