mat1992 Posted Tuesday at 04:09 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 04:09 PM Guys, I'll be out there tonight. If people want to chat, I'll be there. If not, I'll just comment in this thread. It will be on LaxTV and is streamed. Quote
Blounge Posted Tuesday at 04:34 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 04:34 PM FanDuel showing +100 for Towson to cover +3.5 how good is Hopkins this year? Quote
mat1992 Posted Tuesday at 05:13 PM Author Report Posted Tuesday at 05:13 PM I would advise not to bet lacrosse, especially early on. Hop already beat Denver so they are good as usual. 1 Quote

TigerFan54 Posted Wednesday at 12:06 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 12:06 AM We’re down 6-3 at the half. Tough to find scoring opportunities in the late second quarter, when I started watching. Quote
mat1992 Posted Wednesday at 02:35 AM Author Report Posted Wednesday at 02:35 AM Tigers lose 11-10 in front of 1,809 with a chance to tie at the end. https://stats.statbroadcast.com/broadcast/?id=579148 Honestly, one of the worst-played games by both teams, but this is why I rarely check out these early games live. Towson literally could not clear the ball going 19 of 25. Towson had 21 turnovers and Hopkins had 18 so nearly 40 turnovers combined. It was that ugly. Yet, Towson had a chance at the end as Mikey W. attempted a tough pass near the crease. Positives *Thought Luke Downs stepped up and made some nice saves. He had 11 and it could have been a lot worse had he not made some big saves in the second half. Thought defense looked solid. A few mistakes but they weren't playing the Mount. Their biggest problem came in the clearing game where I thought they missed the athleticism of a Colby Barsz. *Freshman Ronan Fitzpatrick as unreal in his game on attack scoring five goals. Now attack was a bit disjointed tonight with no Villagomez and Roussel struggling some against huge close defenseman. He had two assists, two turnovers, but he also had three huge ground balls. When Villagomez returns, they have a decision to make (give it a few games of course) on whether to move Fitzpatrick to midfield or Bode Mauer, who had a rough night with four turnovers. I'd still like to see them move Chop Gallagher to the x role behind the net. He has the size at 6-2, where Roussel is around 5-8 (maybe). But I'm not giving up on the Roo man quite yet on attack. Either way, he needs to be on the field. *Second midfield needs to see more time. I get it. Alex Vieni (1G) played some last season but we rarely saw Boswell or Matusek last season so guessing Nads is not ready to play them a ton against a team like Hop. That's something that has to be figured out as we go on. TBH, I thought the sophomore middie Ethan Pearson was going to be ready to play or freshman Rocky Grossman. But it's early. You are rarely going to be in mid-season form in the first game playing in 36 degree weather. But I thought we showed signs that this team with Villagomez back could be an ever better than last year's squad. Quote
mat1992 Posted Wednesday at 02:54 AM Author Report Posted Wednesday at 02:54 AM BTW, I'm glad I went to the game because these Lax broadcasts are rough especially when announcers aren't there and the feeds are freezing half the time. Quote
