TheGoldCrotchPiece Posted March 13 Report Posted March 13 Okay now that i'm picking myself off the floor after being incredibly frustrated this week - we all knew the chickens would not win it all. What are the chances we get an NIT bid? I know they did away with the auto bid for league winners not making the NCAA and but that would be some small silver lining and a better send off for our good players. I know we got smoked by Wake on the road last time, but if we could host a game vs a Power 4 school in SECU for the first time that would be awesome. Dr. E better be working the phones. IMO short of making it deep run in the NIT, we need a staff change. This season ended like they always do, massively short of expectations. Time for a change; however I realize this will not happen. 🫠 Quote

Bay Area Tiger Posted March 13 Report Posted March 13 Only option would be the Vegas tournament but assuming we’d have to pay. “6” automatic bids to the Big 10, Big 12 & Big East (2 each) then 10 at large. Assuming they already decided against or else why would Hicks put his name in the portal. We gotta save money for NIL. Sports Psychologist already fixed. They got a paperback copy of Tim S Grover’s book Relentless from the Towson Library. Quote

Just as an example, Bob Rotella charges 6000.00 for a two hour session with a team.....pr at least that was his fee 6 or 7 years ago. Edited March 13 by Tgr4life 1 Quote

Chris Datres Posted March 14 Report Posted March 14 Those non-con losses certainly prevented our 'KNIT' score (whatever that is) from getting to the 125 threshold. Conference regular season champions such as Northern Colorado (who went 5-5 non-con with best win being...South Dakota St maybe) and Chattanooga (6-5, Bryant perhaps?) got automatics for being above that threshold prior to the conference tournament. Going 4-8 non-con and missing opportunities vs the likes of Irvine, Kent St, and Robert Morris certainly buried our numbers and the conference's weak power rating wasn't enough to help us in our 16-2 run through it. mat1992 Posted March 14 Report Posted March 14 Did anyone really want to go to the NIT, even if we had better metrics? If it was an auto bid, I get it. If it was the new Vegas event fine, but with NIL/SAR out there, I don’t see how thrilling it would be to play at some low level high major team like Penn State or Pittsburgh. 1 1 Quote
