No transfer QB. Freshman Andrew Indorf (6-1,195) from Miami will likely be given a shot. But a couple of transfers added at WR in Jarvis Jones (6-2, 185) from UConn, who is a redshirt sophomore. Here are the other additions since the spring. Most were brought up in the transfer thread.

*WR Jarvis Jones (6-2, 185, UConn), r-soph.

*TE Bryce Butler (6-2, 250, Ohio U.), grad student, Bowie, Md, St. John's College (HS)

*TE Peyton Faulkner (6-4, 245, Kent State), freshman, Pittsburgh

*RB Al Wooten II (6-0, 230, Duke/Mercer), Grad student, Memphis. Solid numbers at FCS. Didn’t play much at Duke.

*OL Michael Williams (6-6, 310, Florida), r-freshman, Upper Marlboro C.H Flowers HS

*LB Myles Turner (6-1, 255, UMass), grad student, Wheaton, Bullis School

*LB Ja'Mez Drummer (6-1, 225, ODU), senior, Samford, Fla.

*LB Shama Graham (6-1, 225, Va. Union), Grad Student, Richmond

*DL Wyatt Draeger (6-4, 285, San Diego State) Grad Student, Reno, Nevada

*DL Treyvon Adams (6-1, 275, JMU), r-freshman, Rome, Ga.

*DB Carnell Davis (6-1, 185, Duquesne), Grad Student, Melbourne, Fla.

*DB Bryan Lodge (6-3, 200, NE Oklahoma A&M), junior, West Park, Fla.

*DB Nigel Henderson (5-10, 175, Stonehill), Calvert Hall HS

Let's take a look at the competition

*-freshman **-redshirt freshman

QB S. Brown vs. N. Kent, **W. Watkins, *Andrew Indorf

Jack Pellicciotti (r-soph)

RB Ike Daniels (5-11, 210) vs. Al Wooten II (6-0, 230, Mercher transfer)

**Kahseim Phillips, Trey Engram, *Kemarrion Battles (5-10, 190), *JaVon Ford II (5-11, 195).

WR John Dunmore, Zay Perkins, Jaceon Doss, Lukkas Londono.

Dunmore is the No. 1. Perkins, Doss, Londono and UConn transfer Jarvis Jones (6-2, 185) will likely compete for playing time. Reynolds and Londono likely will compete for time in the slot though they'll probably share that position similar to last season.

Sam Reynolds, **Jacob Zollar, **Cleveland Charlton. I don't see any true freshmen playing but next season, with Reynolds, Dunmore, Perkins and Londono gone, they'll get a chance to play.

TE Peyton Faulkner (6-3, 240 from Kent State), CJ Schaefer (6-3, 235), Bryce Butler (6-2, 250, Ohio transfer) all will compete for playing time.

**Jordan Stallworth (6-4, 200), **Luke Baldwin (6-4, 220), *Jack Mahoney (6-5, 230)

OL

LT Dan Volpe (6-6, 320), Sahli Bhullar (6-6, 305)

LG Jaelin Montgomery (6-3, 310), Joden Nelson (6-4, 295)

C KJ Brooks (6-3, 300), Ian Markham-Miller (6-3, 310)

RG Jean Germain (6-6, 335)

RT **Mike Williams (6-6, 310, Fla Transfer), T'Khi Alexander (6-6, 290)

Nelson and Markham-Miller can play enter and guard. The big question is whether Brooks moves from right tackle to guard or center or whether Mike Williams is ready to play right away. Does Montgomery move to guard or will he start at right tackle, where played last season when Brooks was injured. LT and RG seem to be the only definitive spots, but there is plenty of talent and experience with Montgomery, Brooks, Williams, Alexander, freshman Mekhi Cousar (6-6, 315) and Derick Tossah (6-5, 320)

DL

**JR Stegall (6-3, 295), Shamir Boyd (6-2, 290), **Aaron Clark (6-0, 300). That was my depth charter after the spring. This will be the most interesting and important competition of the summer since there was so much lost. The biggest question is where and how much time will 3*DT and former Maryland commit Asaiah Hammond (6-5, 280) get? Then you have San Diego State transfer Wyatt Draeger (6-4, 285) and JMU transfer Treyvon Adams (6-1, 280). JT Black (5-11, 265) from Lenior-Rhyne and Keiser could also be in the mix. Was 3x all-conference and 1x All-American.

LB  Rodney Roane (6-2, 240) is back

OLB Shamar Graham (6-1, 225, Va. Union transfer), CJ McClendon (6-1, 200)

ILB Myles Tuner (6-2, 250), UMass transfer, Branson Peters (6-1, 220), Alfred Thomas (6-1, 225)

(Notes: More competition with Ja'Mez Drummer (6-1, 225), the ODU senior added. He sounds more like an edge or 5 technique. Graham is a definite starter and I believer Turner is the inside backer. After that, they have a ton of options with Brandon Peters, Alfred Thomas, CJ McClendon, who all have experience. Roand should be in the mix somewhere. Then you have true freshmen like Alijah Hammond (6-2, 205) and Chris Koffi (6-1, 225), who are super talented.)

Safety

Xavier Terry and Jasin Shiggs vs. Kaden White, Mike Swain, Bryan Lodge (6-3, 200, NE Oklahoma A&M)

*Kyron Grayson (6-0, 175)

CB

Myles Brodie, Zakaa Brown/Emiril Gant/Carnell Davis (6-1, 185 Duquesne grad transfer)/**Shamir Johnson (6-0, 175).

(Notes: Coach Shinnick has shown that he'll play true freshmen in the secondary. Kavon McKinney (6-1, 165) from Sanford, Fla., Grayson from St. Peter's Prep (NJ), Khemani Williams (6-1, 185) from Orlando, Cody Williams (6-0, 180) from DeMatha,  Cordell Jefferson (6-2, 175) from St. Frances could all be in the mix in the fall.)

Kicker Caden Williams, *Zaydaan Faridi, *Owen Scheihing, *Ryan Leff

Thanks for all of your research.  Lots of moving parts here.  As opposed to the old days , when only D1 schools would pay for  summer classes and lodging, Towson now provides the same resources as UMD etc. this is critical with the transfer portal and , in most cases,  ahead of our conference rivals.
