Only reason this will end up being somewhat competitive is because they don’t have Pratt. Probably would have chalked this up as another loss with him playing.

Still not a good matchup but I don’t think going forward that will change against any CAA team not named NCA&T.

It is game day. I believe the Boston Bruins 🏒 start an hour before our game.  Celtics in the evening and of course Patriots on Sunday.  Let’s get that first win!   If we lose today then one if not two of you participating in this board will be canned sorry to say.  Players, coaches and fans all in this together.  With all the damn loose purse strings and rules regarding NIL we’ve not even come close to producing a Richard Perry type contributor to our program.  Shame on all of us.  And when is the last time a player chose Towson because of an alum???  How have we not been able to come up with a Sam Gilbert type to assist coach???

At the end of the day if this season is a bust 75% of the blame needs to fall on us alumni.  Kicking up peanuts 🥜 right now.  Herb Sendek has millions to spend and we could only muster up $750K.  We are in Baltimore folks and the basketball gods only will cater to a program that spends!

Yeah, I don't like that either but would just like to actually get a win. We are favored by 1.5 today. I don't think I realized that Northeastern has gone way more up-tempo this year. They play at the third-fastest pace in the conference at 105th nationally (69.7 possessions per game). Only William & Mary (3) and Campbell (51) play faster. They were 177th last year, 279th in 2023-24, 197th in 2022-23 and 320th in 2021-22.

I believe Towson's 68 possession against Hofstra were the most against a D1 team this year. It just sucks that we could only get 67 points out of those possessions and that we turned it over over 20% of the time and shot 33%. We have the ball for 258 possessions in conference play which is 64.5 per game (1.1 more than our season average and scored 247 points and turned it over 44 times (17% turnover rate).

I am not saying it will happen because it is deep funk right now, but against a team that plays a faster tempo and the worse defensive efficiency in the league maybe this is an opportunity to get on track offensively. Despite the 1-3 start, Northeastern does the second-best offensive efficiency in conference play and has the top effective field goal percentage (field goals made + 0.5 three-pointers made/field goal attempts). Not surprisingly, Towson is last in that state.

I have run out of much else to say. This teams just needs some positive mojo in any possible way. Hopefully they can get it today.

I believe this one’s in Cabot?? If so capacity of ~400?  I remember it being a hs gym not sure if they made enhancements since they will be playing there until Matthew’s is redone.  Think burdick hall but a bit nicer..

They lost 30% of their rebounds with 1 player. This should be an easy matchup on the boards. Should easily out rebound them 50-30

Should and easy are words that should never be used with Towson program. Ever!
