And more importantly 3 of them shot a combined 8-10 from the charity stripe. Yes I know we shot 60% as a team but if we can get more production and consistency from our bigs going forward we can really make some noise in this topsy turvy CAA thus far. Wessler is like t50 in the country in rebounds, Reeves is playing very well for CoC and has way more offensive upside than any of our bigs combined. I really dont think Seck at this point helps or changes much. Being physical, aggressive, and avoiding turnovers will win those games. CoC and UNCW are not physical teams. Quote
ShreddedOnion Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 (edited) Someone needs to tell Dylan to read the court before lobbing some of those passes. I have counted atleast 2 passes each of the last few games that he wouldnt have made last year. And they seem to come at the worst time, yesterday his pass that was flipped for 2 easy points by NE killed a lot of momentum. Need to really see the court well if we are going to be doing that. When Doumbia comes back, he needs to completely remove the 3 point shot from his game. Especially with how Coleman/Womack have improved slightly there, theres no need for Doumbia to try those and imo are just wasted posessions since he usuallys misses the rim or hits of the backboard and it goes straight back to the opponnent.. Can’t rely on getting 24 ish from Womack and Coleman each night . I think we have a better chance seeing 4 and 15 up their game (and maybe Schmidt hit a few threes) than those two keeping up this pace unfortunately. The 5s are what they are. Just rebound and try and screen without fouling. How many of their fouls come on illegal screens and hedging near mid court? (93 you have those starts somewhere?!). Would rather them use those down low. 5 hours ago, ShreddedOnion said: Wessler is like t50 in the country in rebounds, Reeves is playing very well for CoC and has way more offensive upside than any of our bigs combined. Those guys are not just tall but big and strong. Our 5s are thin and can’t be pushed around. Quote

Womack was a highly ranked recruit for what we have signed in the past. Why would him finishing the year with similar numbers to May be out of this realm? Womack can finish averaging 8+ points and 4+ rebounds a game 1 Quote
mat1992 Posted January 12 Author Report Posted January 12 Womack is potentially another Tejada when it comes to scoring (I can see 15-17ppg in the future because who else is going to score if TT leaves next season). Defensively, he has more potential assuming he focuses on that end of the floor. The skills are there, but does he have Tyler's work ethic and poise? I'll get to Tejada in another post and he's struggling big-time right now, but that kid is always in the gym working on his game before and after practice. Quote
