Very sad news to hear on the broadcast Saturday. Him and Pete Schlehr also helped me get started in my career. My first two positions were at the America East conference office and the University of Delaware (I know I was a traitor for a year). Dan was very giving of his time, and always wanted to help me advance my career in an way he could.

I always think one of the ultimate markers of a successful career is to be able to look around when you are done and see the many accomplishments from people you helped get started in their respective careers. Dan had an impact on many people and their lives, and he will be missed. He really was a devoted employee to Towson Athletics, and I still think of him and Pete whenever I think of Sports Information at Towson. I consider those two pillars and legends at Towson, and the family and many good friends of Dan are in my thoughts during this difficult period.
