mat1992 Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 We have four recruits coming in next season. Yes, I know, we will probably redshirt at least two. Sajid is the gem of the class on paper. Quote
mat1992 Posted January 21 Author Report Posted January 21 Jaylin Williams-Crawford (6-6) from Boston. I sense he won't be redshirted. Quote

JWC looks like a player & Im excited about Sajid (hope I spelled that right). I’m not sure about the TX kid or the now injured Philly PG. I’m guessing 1 or both of them redshirt. I realize I’m getting ahead of myself, but it’s intriguing to think about a Womack, Sajid, JWC trio. Of course, we’re going to desperately need a PG next season if DWill moves on, and we know our track record under the current administration in bringing in quality PG’s. Guess I also shouldn’t overlook Barton and Holmes season, though without having seen them play it’s impossible to know what level of contribution they will make next season Quote

Guess I also shouldn’t overlook Barton and Holmes season, though without having seen them play it’s impossible to know what level of contribution they will make next season Yeah, I have no clue until I see them over this summer how much they have improved. Barton needs more of a perimeter game as he played mostly forward at 6-2 in high school, while Holmes isn't bad on offense, but needs some more polish on D. Probably needs to continue working on his body like most freshmen bigs (he's not small). That's something you can teach. You can't really teach hands and I think he has some. Most of our bigs are lacking in that area, whether it's soft touch, can catch the ball in traffic or not traffic, face the basket or back to the basket skills, I can go on. I like both, but I'm not going to pump them up as I did Ndefo and Womack (one worked out so far). I would also hope that Chike takes a huge step next season in terms of handle and shot. Womack can be a very good player if he slows it down physically and mentally. I do like his BB IQ. The more he plays, the better you can see his understanding of the game. Those three entry passes he made to Seck were nice and rare for this team. Next season, he'll have a better post player in Holmes to make that pass and hopefully a newcomer. We can only hope and assume that these guys are gone: Samb (RS?) Seck Schmidt Doumbia Coleman Conway (non-scholarship) Then you have DWill Tejada as possibilities I feel bad for Cole but he's not a rotation player. Why keep him if he's a 13th man (hopefully)? Too early rotation for 2026-27 (without DWill and Tejada) Let's say Devan Kirk (6-5) redshirts. Possibly Munchie Wright if he's injured. PG transfer, Barton, Munchie SG Transfer, Sajid, Cole SF Womack, Ndefo, Devan Kirk PF NDefo, Jaylin Williams-Crawford C Embeya, Holmes, Without DWill PG transfer, Barton, Munchie SG Sajid, Cole SF Tejada, Devan Kirk PF Womack, Ndefo, JWC C Embeya, Holmes, transfer Without Tejada PG DWill, Barton, Munchie SG Transfer (hopefully combo guard), Sajid, Cole SF Womack, D. Kirk PF transfer (6-8ish), NDefo, JWC C Embeya, Holmes, Honestly, this still seems like a roster that needs more guards. More ballhandlers, Combo guards. Cole just doesn't fit, Not sure Ndefo does. I said that last season. Somebody who can play the point or the 2. More ball-handlers and stretch 4s up front. Not enough 3-point shooters. Desperately need them in the portal. Will assume that Sajid will help in that department and he has some combo guard ability. 1 Quote
mat1992 Posted January 21 Author Report Posted January 21 I do need to find video on Devan Kirk (6-5, 175). Sounds a little like Lowery. Long arms, athletic and a good passer. https://www.maxpreps.com/news/XPGUL0tNzUSTf1mLwCEVYA/devan-kirk-game-report-%40-lancaster.htm Quote
mat1992 Posted January 21 Author Report Posted January 21 A little bit of Munchie Wright a few weeks ago. Seemed ok. Not sure if he was still playing with an injury https://www.instagram.com/reels/DTRk-p1DCuu/ Quote
tualum Posted January 28 Report Posted January 28 (edited) The Sajid kid looks very promising. Just concerned he may not be a good fit in the system skerry likes. Plus he’s on the lean side and like 2012 said in another post skerry may put 10bs of weight on him and down he goes. Will see 😂 Edited January 28 by tualum 1 Quote
