Disappointed to hear that. Looking forward to seeing what he could do this year.

Definitely was excited to see him play after having a strong spring camp and then Towson transfers in a FBS running back definitely not what you do to a player that was hoping to get a starting position extremely disappointed at this program. But the grass greener on the other side I guess.

  2. Transferring because they either didn’t cut it where they were, knew they weren’t going to start at there current school and needed to go to another school where they know they will start. But yes this year it’s looking like a ton of transfers that will most likely start over current players that have committed to the program must be a killer for moral to those players. But this is a business at the end of the day they need to win so this is what college football is all about.

  3. Almost that time Tiger fans just started this thread up to talk about summer competition and starting positions. Who are you guys are looking forward to in all positions especially offense. Jabari Allen is back, we have a few returning running backs, Adrian Platt, Kobe Young and a few new running backs Folley looks like a future star at TU and Jerry Howard is exhausting his last year of eligibility at TU he looks really big could be a great short yardage back. Let’s get some opinions and predictions for the fall!

Jerry Howard Jr. was a running back at Georgia Tech and was moved to linebacker. At 6-0, 230, had 564 yards in 2018 with 5.4ypc and five TDs. New coaching staff so he decided to transfer.

So is transferring as linebacker or running back?

I do think his willingness to play special teams will help 2 fold. 1) he can get a spot on ST, not only as a returner, but on Kickoff/Punt 2) it’s less snaps for him and could let him stay healthier.

Yeah man he deserves a shot he would be a great contributor to any NFL team.

Let’s call it like it is... the transfer rule freaking sucks for schools, fans and coaches.  It’s free agency after every year. New faces everywhere. It hurts the overall product on the fields and courts.
I feel bad for coaches having to constantly recruit and worry about losing players. Has to be a shitty feeling.  With that said, rob has dug his own grave and is in the position he’s currently in due to his lack of success.

What a joke. I’m confused as to how we were able to recruit homegrown players like Sean Schaeffer when we were an awful team but nowadays we are scraping the bottom of the FBS bucket for talent.

I’m losing faith in this program they need to stop with these leftover FBS players and work on building the players that they recruited I don’t understand the thought process behind Ambrose work on the players that u have and build the program up. FBS transfers don’t give a crap about the program and have no vested interest in it.

Committee has and will suck. Apparently jmu fans are pissy that Delaware was “declared” the caa champ by the caa.
I assume most here, like myself, do not care much about this mini spring season

Yes spring season is a waste especially since NCAA has had absolutely no coverage on it which shows they don’t give a crap about fcs football which is a shame. But Rob needs a playoff birth this fall since it’s his last season in his contract. Pretty much to keep his job I just hope we are competitive this fall.
