True. I remember as a student that lot. I saw on the Master Plan that Towson owns land(woods) across from St. Joe. The master plan calls for a 1,000 bed dorm. Wonder if they can use this since they are building 2,000 student apartments in downtown Towson now? Also, could they move the day care center? It's a problem that you can't Tailgate for 3 games a year unless you get there 2 hours before. Most people only go to 1-2 games so do not buy a pass.

I have learned for Homecoming, maybe Delaware and Parent's weekend games that tailgating is not an option without a parking pass for stadium lots if you get there 1 hour before the game. The lots that do not require a pass fill up about 2 hours before the game. Not good for a school trying to get more fans.

I think Tailgating can be improved. If you want to go just to 1-2 games, do you need to buy a $15 parking pass park to park your car on the stadium lots? I have not been able to get on the stadium lots with a car in the past to tailgate unless I have a $15 pass. Also. would like more parking near the stadium . Seems land is available near the stadium to add more parking/tailgating lots. Can they add a bar on the Season Ticket holders lot near the basketball arena for beer/wine and food?

Having followed football attendance the last 10 years I wonder what our Marketing department does for the return on investment. We have averaged 6-9 thousand a game for 10 years . Would be nice for the road games to have a Towson Bar stream the game for alumni.

I thought it would be worse. Madison, Delaware games will tell our outcome. Albany and Bucknell look down. Not sure about Elon or Stony Brook?

The game last night reminded me of Ambrose's tenure at Towson the last 10 years. Good offense(scored 45 points) and poor defense . It's been the same the last 10 years including the Terrence West years. Not sure why we cannot develop a great defense at Towson, Is it recruiting or coaching or both? Ambrose give's you a "B" grade. He does enough to keep his job and is an alum. We will lose 4-5 games this year. The question is could we do better with another coach? We are not a football school(avg 7,000-9,000 a game). Would an "A" coach even stay at Towson a long time? Would have to be an alum. It would be nice to move off status quo or become a regular top 10-15 FCS team.

Debbie Moriarty is to blame. Students attendance dropped on average 3,000 a game with the tailgating rules. We use to get 8,000-10,500 for Family weekends, Homecoming , Morgan games, and Delaware. We would have had 8,000-10,000 for the first 2 games if the tail gaiting was not ruined for students. The commuter college excuse ended a while back. Towson has 10,000 living in University owned and non University owned apartments(Colony, Towson Woods,Donny Brook, University View,etc..)

Football attendance is awful for a school with 22,000 students. I blame it on administration with the tailgating issue and engaging the 9,000 residential students. We only draw 5,000-6,000 a game. You have to question why we spend millions on the program. Division 111 sounds more reasonable unless they change the tailgating rules and do a better job with getting the students to attend the games.

I would set time standard though for fixing it. We can't keep spending millions of tax payer/tuition expenses for a 5,000-6,000 turnout. The tailgating and poor attendance is on 5 years. Not sure why we can't adapt the same policy with tailgating as our neighbors(Penn State, Maryland West Virginia and Maryland). The one 6 pack of beer rule is the first one that needs to disappear.
