  1. I believe Irvine would have been a team in the Canada Tournament.
  2. Minus Canada and add in @ JMU (return game from last year). Good Site: The D1 Docket: 2025-26 Dockets: East Coast Leagues
  3. Soild game. A team that has won around the same % of games since covid as the tigers.
  4. Time to go to a 20 game conference schedule....
  5. Yeah. Besides the field of 68 tourney that they are locked into Drake in their premier game
  6. Hey man! What else do you want???! Don't you remember 15 years ago when he got here?? We didn't even have a great personality
  7. Yeah and …? That’s great and all. Will love to see that become more of the norm. Those other two do it all year long. Late January and late February home and home with both on cbsn does wonders. Much better than games at NE (hs gym) the dac, and other empty arenas. still would like them to go to a 20 game schedule. Play more games. Worry less about ooc scheduling
  8. The last two years there has been an extremely favorable schedule. Though with this league it would be best that the best teams play each other multiple times and on national tv. A Filled Trask and TD look good on tv
  9. Baring injury, or Siddle wanting to start him at SECU, I wouldn't think so. Probably second or third guy off their bench.
  10. NE is the real winner, all three top teams once, at home in their high school gym. Really like ours, hopefully we can get C of C and UNCW on weekends in February, and a two for trip with Hampton WM & Elon A&T
  11. Oh wow. Our friends down in the Carolinas will not be happy about this 🤣
  12. This could be coming..?
  13. Tejada grow again? Or did Samb get shorter??
  14. 100% Seems like a pretty loyal guy
  15. Even the guy who will be 25 in the middle of conference play next season?!?! 😂
  16. Rumblings that the two HBCU's in the CAA are very unhappy and looking to bounce back to the MEAC for football. Not surprising as the CAA is bad now and they can rejuvenate some of the old rivalries, rather then trekking up to Orono and Durham in late November
  17. Officially official: CAA Adopts New Divisional Scheduling Formats In Four Sports For 2025-26 Season - Coastal Athletic Association (CAA Sports)
  18. You are under the assumption the current northern CAA schools would want us in that mix. Maine, NH, URI, Bryant, Stony, Albany could join up with Merrimack, Central Conn, Sacred Heart and Wagner to form a very condensed North East conference with 10 teams within driving distance of one another. Is the SOCON better than the remains of CAA Football? Having 1 team within 9 hours of campus is not ideal. Trips to Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia are also tough
  19. By way of majority of the AD's approval
  20. Cats were his favorite too!!!
  21. So years ago the CAA hitched their wagon to be a "football conference" and tried to be the best of the FCS (minor leagues), instead of increasing their basketball exposure. The league was always top heavy and propped up by JMU, Delaware, NH and Nova. This angered the good basketball programs, who did not have nor care about football. They left for greener pastures. After a while the good football programs also had enough of this JV football and moved up. Thus leaving the CAA as the 3rd best football conference behind the MVFC and Big Sky. To replace those schools, the CAA back filled small schools from the eastern seaboard, that didn't fit into the culture/footprint of the league, nor did were they able to compete thus having 3 solid football programs then bounce. Now we are stuck with the most hodge podge league where the hoops nor football is great, and our closest team in football matchup is Monmouth and Hampton, followed by Elon or Stony Brook?!? There's no reason to be playing little league football in this league with the likes of those other schools in front of 2,500 people.
  22. Reactive not Proactive. If only the admin and league could have seen this coming like some of us on here... Being .500 or even maybe a little less than .500 after the trip to the championship, was the nail in the coffin for us. Without Mr. West falling into Ambrose's lap we would have been and still been the dredge of the CAA Football Conference.
  23. this on a weekend would have been nice..
  24. Losing 5 of the closest football conference mates, and 2 of the closest hoops ones, in a 5 year span sucks
