I mean it’s a tough job (think basketball years ago) but ooff. The ADs hires leave a LOT to be desired. I’d take a few singles with them out stretching into doubles. Seems like we are just striking out swinging and hoping to reach first on that dropped third strike

We have a bad field and no lights, which hampers us to begin with. Weather, support and baseball, unfortunately not being the big the spring sport in this area, also hurts. If we are now starting to invest more in the program, then good and that should start showing some dividends soon.

One of the issues (no everyone, not football specific, but for this post it is) is not capitalizing on momentum. Made it to the national championship game, and then open the next season as a top 10 team, against a partially scholarship program and then fall flat on your face and lose that game, in front of a large crowd, and finish 4-8. 2018 make the playoffs with Flacco, and host a game. Play another not fully scholly team and get absolutely blown out. And then waste Flacco's senior year with a win and in last game of the season against Elon at home when you blow a late 15 point lead. Failure to meet the moment and capitalize on opportunities have hurt this program and athletic department as a whole

3 very tough road games. Does beating the 2 MEAC schools and going 6-1 in the other CAA games get TOWSON, in at 8-4 (sans the auto bid)??

I believe they are a Tier 1 Institution. In a wealthy area, and are one of 3 smaller level football programs in a state with 20 million people.

Agreed. One of my favorites, and a guy who committed to this mess of a program when they were 1-31. We did have Gary Neal on the staff a few years back. While a solid player, who always played hard and tough, it's not like he was Kareem or Hakeem, or eve Akeem out there. Was at Arkansas prior, so hopefully his experience being in the SEC and with a winner rubs off!

Besides the top two (we all know who they will be), otherwise it's a bunch of moving parts. Though based off last year and "portal success" you could say we play 4 of the top 5 teams twice, and the other on the road. While it would be nice to get both those schools you mention twice each, it will only happen a few times. We have our set three 2x opponents, which I am ok with. Though I wouldn't mind the league removing two teams (we know which), to 11, and going to 20 league games with a true round robin. And then have the top 10 go onto the tournament and give 1 & 2 double byes to semis. 10-3, 9-4, 8-5, 7-6 first round and then the four winners play the next day in the QF's. This gives 20 games to determine the best teams, and a true advantage to 1-2 seeds in a balanced regular season.

All three of the programs mentioned need to man up and get each other on the schedule. A win helps, a loss doesn't hurt. No one is getting an at large and fans of all team involved have better interest then them playing; goucher, morgan state, bridgewater college, delaware state...

Home and homes against Jmu and Delaware would be ideal. No reason not to play eachother every year. Wish we could be forward thinking (and have the money) to host a MTE again. I know we wouldn’t (or maybe it’s just other teams so scared of us) but a 2 for with Richmond vcu mason st joes would be cool too
