    Tom Flacco Training Camp Presser

A writer at the Regina newspaper took Tom’s quotes from the press conference and interviewed Rob Ambrose for additional material. https://leaderpost.com/sports/football/cfl/saskatchewan-roughriders/tom-flacco-looking-to-make-a-name-for-himself-with-saskatchewan-roughriders

Maybe he’ll try that in one of the spring leagues if this doesn’t work out…

    Tom Flacco Training Camp Presser

The height isn’t as deadly a factor in the CFL since the linemen tend to be shorter. We will see if he has the arm strength for the wide side out in that league. Still, if someone see something in him he could make a squad as the 3rd down QB, the guy who sneaks on 3rd and one. Because the “defence” has to line up one yard off of the ball, everyone goes on most 3rd and one situations. Many teams don’t want to risk the starter on those plays.
  4. He is going to have a hard time breaking camp with the Roughriders, Paxton Lynch is battling him for the backup job, but the Riders think enough of Tom to send him out to the media. https://www.riderville.com/2021/07/16/day-7-training-camp-tom-flacco/
  5. I had to go look it up. Last August, Tom was on the negotiation list of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. That doesn't mean he still is. They trade rights around and drop and add all the time. And most of them are kept secret. Each team releases 10 names publicly a couple of times a year. Trace McSorley is on Calgary's list.
  6. The CFL has not cancelled the season, but the earliest they will start is September to have a stretch run to the Grey Cup. I suspect thy may still cancel if they can't have fans. Unlike the NFL, the CFL needs ticket sales, food and drink sales, and souvenirs or they are in the red...badly. Based on that, the chance of a QB being signed for this season is probably slim. They will stick with guys who know the three down game. Tom was on a team's negotiation list last year, although I don't recall which one.

Flacco leads Tigers over The Citadel, 44-27

Watched the game on the CAA app on Roku. Really enjoyed the game, although the presentation had technical problems. Flacco is certainly exciting and I would think a 44 point performance might bring some students back.

    Tigers in the NFL thread

NFL Network reported a visit with the Colts and one planned with the Jags, I believe. West's problem with the Ravens was that once Collins established himself, he had to offer a different skill set to the team, like great pass catching or blocking skills. T-West just didn't.

    Tigers Leaving Under Armour?

My son is a shoe junkie and used to give UA as much attention as Nike. He doesn't anymore, and that has nothing to do with politics. He just doesn't like their products very much anymore.
