Blazer49 Posted April 15, 2024 Report Posted April 15, 2024 I guess you can't expect too much from these type of interviews. Our softball team could only hope they could get the soft lollipop pitches/questions David asked Steve. I did learn a few things some good... the fact that they are adding 10 scholarships to be used across some of our other programs and some bad... that this David dude to pleasure admitting he helped bring Skerry to Towson. I would assume he is not on the Pat must go bandwagon! 1 Quote
mat1992 Posted April 15, 2024 Author Report Posted April 15, 2024 Steve also talked about facilities. Renovation of the field house next spring and improvements to the Towson Center’s practice courts along with adding turf. Baseball and field hockey can certainly use more scholarships and the fact that gymnastics isn’t fully funded is remarkable considering what they’ve accomplished. 2 Quote

Would be nice to have a semi competitive baseball program. I do find it interesting to that we are “so far behind” our league peers. And would like to know if that’s because they are most private schools? Or that’s they don’t play football? Quote

In the story, Tyner mentioned how the program cut ships after the team was eliminated to try and save money. I think the whole gist of the story is that they weren’t getting enough support from the previous president and PMG cares about sports. Quote
