I don't know about the bad teammate part but the video and his numbers are not really what we need. A small and skinny point guard who jacks up a lot of shots but it will be a lot tougher to score at the D1 level with that frame.

This was a strange game maybe because it was a bit of a look into Towson basketball without Charles Thompson in the first half. It was an ugly look with no real rebounder or defensive presence, though Chase Paar played adequately (0-3, 2rebs in 12 minutes). Charles was a leader in the second half with his passing and that three-point play where he head-butted the basket support after making the tough shot. No ugly, just Good and Bad today. Good *Tarke's defense and rebounding (8) were exceptional. Had 3 steals and one led to a rare dunk to give Towson a 15-point lead and that pretty much ended it I thought he and May were exceptional on the defensive end in the second half. *Sulaiman had a strong game off the bench with 12 points in 23 minutes. *Bench was 41-2. I know CT played the entire second half and was considered a backup in this game but still solid. *Survived the first half without CT. Didn't play well, but if that wasn't W&M, they'd probably be down by double digits. Shows you his importance on both ends of the floor. Bad *Three-point defense was terrible early on. Wound up at 10-of-30, which is not bad. I think the biggest issue was going for the pump fakes and they finally stayed on the floor. *Just +2 in rebounding margin. For some reason, Sulaiman (2 rebs) seems to drop and miss a lot of defensive rebounds. He's a strong offensive rebounder as is Messiah Jones. *Jones had to play some backup center so I won't get on him too much for his defense. But he has to make those chippies. He was 1 for 5 and all shots were around the basket. *May was 1 for 8 from 3pt and 0-5 from 3pt. Quality defense and three assists, but he needs to score as well for this team to have any chance on Sunday. *Transition game was ugh. Tomiwa and Tyler with some bad decisions trying to go 1 on 3 in the second half. DWill with a crazy spin move in the first half. We're so used to playing slow is that we get so excited to be on a fast break.

Mikey W. with 5 goals DeMaio with 1 goal, 6 assists Gallagher, Villagomez, Constantinides, and Mauer with 2 goals apiece. Cormier had 7 goals on 17 shots for the Cavs. 19-15 Virginia with the win. Good three quarters for Towson, but they were awful in the third quarter. Too many turnovers on offense. Bad D. Goaltending not good enough. 17 turnovers overall. Won 19 of 36 face-offs. Just ok. Wing play struggled at times, but that's not why they lost the game. Of course, you have a few more wins and it could be a closer game, but Towson's issues started on D in the first half, the O had just one goal in the third quarter as Virginia took away Mikey and DeMaio, forcing them to go right and forcing the other players to carry the ball. I'd be looking at a lineup change. They need to get Roussel (3 assists) in the game more either on first midfield. They inverted him. His lack of size (5-8, 150?) doesn't really matter much. He was still getting around Virginia's defenseman.

19-14 with 34 seconds left and for some reason, UVa calls a timeout. Maybe they want to cover the spread? I heard it was 7 so I think Towson covers.

Gallagher strikes again with a shot that had nothing on it right at the goaltender's stick. Have to shoot that but he's struggling right now.

Holy crap. What a goal from DeMaio. Give and go to make it 19-14. He's now with 5 goals against UVa. That's impressive. Down 5 with 4:28 left.

I've never seen a more physical goaltender than Noones or whatever his name for Virginia. That dude has taken some shots but DeMaio finally gets his first goal and it's 19-13 with 4:40 left.

At some point, you have to look at Webber's poor shooting and Gallagher's lack of speed at midfield. Can't replace both but I'd be looking at Roussel to start. Trying to win a CAA title and there's no Virginia, but I'd like the best players on the first mifield.

Towson finally scores to make it 19-11. They were just getting schooled on D. Surprised they kept Downs in there.

It's a shame because Towson's offense was so good in that first half and I blame a big part of the collapse on their inability to score and a zillion turnovers. Not all on the defense and Downs.

He's terrible. I've been saying it all thread. Yet, he has the only goal this half for Towson.

I don't think they have any confidence in the backup goalies but that's another thing I might consider in the fourth quarter. What a complete collapse by Towson in the third quarter. 16-10.
