    4. C’Bo Flemister, Notre Dame Flemister was most productive during the 2019 and 2020 seasons at Notre Dame, totaling 461 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground. A few of the schools that have shown early interest include Utah State, Virginia, Colorado, Eastern Michigan, Buffalo, as well as FCS schools like Sam Houston, Incarnate Word, Towson, Samford, Tennessee-Martin, Western Illinois and Tennessee State. https://und.com/roster/cbo-flemister-2/ (5-11, 201) 4.49 40 https://247sports.com/Player/CBo-Flemister-46041028/

Good observations, though I think if you look at it closely, three of the four transfers underachieved. Holden was sensational until the last month. Rizzuto had his moments, but had a knee issue that limited him. Nolan had respiratory issues and struggled down the stretch. We know how Paar turned out and he also had some issues in preseason. So I think in terms of numbers, all three players should be close to statistically equivalent of the guys they replace. Whether they fit in well in terms of chemistry on and off the floor, who knows? But I like getting a guy like Russell, who appears like he can fit a role as a starter or off the bench. He can defend, is unselfish, but not a big scorer. But he can stretch the floor (35% 3pt). Most importantly, he can rebound, so can Sylla and CT. We may lose a little bit on offense, but gain on the boards and on D. Can't wait to see Conway. The good thing about a freshman sitting out is that they can get stronger (190ish) and also practice against quality players. He's the key here. If Cam leaves, more pressure on Conway to deliver and handle the different types of defenses he will see. Fortunately, he's not just a shooter and can get the ball to rim or drive and dish. So we can't answer it, but this could be a team that is just as good, slightly worse, or even better.

So assuming 55 is gone, I think we needed a three and a defensive-minded, athletic one who shares the ball. Sure, it would be nice to get a guy who put up 20 on a given night, but at this point, there aren't many of those guys left who would go mid-major. But you also have to replace Rizzuto, who was solid defensively and shot 36% from 3 (an astounding four straight years). Russell shoots 35% and is a much better rebounder. Hopefully, he'll be healthier. Still have one more ship left and assuming that goes to a 6-7ish Juwan Gray-type hopefully with a few years left, but is versatile and can give you 10-15mpg. Ok, so I found the post on April 22 and Nevada looked at him. Great rebounding guard. About 35% from three-point. Again, though he's a good passer, not sure the fit I guess would take Rizzuto's place and sound like a similar player but much better rebounder. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/4398354/nygal-russell https://semoredhawks.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/nygal-russell/10032 https://www.southeastarrow.com/story/2922471.html I do like this quote “Just knowing it’s been my fourth year, I’d rather go out with a ring than average 20 points for the season,” Russell said. “And I don’t know if I can honestly say that was different for all those years. So, this year I’m just really trying to figure out how I can win and how I can get certain guys on certain pages so that we can all come together.”

https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/4398354/nygal-russell Big guard at 6-4, 205. Big rebounder, decent passer. Seems like more of a glue guy which is fine.

MLax thread for 2022 and 2023

BTW. Constantinides was 45.5% for the year on face-offs. That's a vast improvement on last season (36.4%). Santora was 39% on 84 face-offs so they need more depth there and why they were 43.6% overall. I also think when MC improves his stick work, he'll be at least 50% next season. DeMaio had 36 goals on a school record 157 shots. That's a 23% shooting percentage and 45.2% on goal. Not good. Avanzato was a bit better at 30.1% shooting with 31g and 25a to lead the team with 56 points. Berkeley adds 25 goals and 18 assists on 29.4% shooting. All Maryland transfers by the way and Luke Shilling (21g, 19a, 45.7%) is a Hopkins transfer. The top four in points were transfers. Ryan Swain was fifth in points with 14 and had nine goals and five assists. The move of Andrew Milani (8g, 2a) to midfield was a failure. Last season, he had 23 goals and shot 40.4% playing attack.

True, that was a mistake on my part. Delaware won 14 of 21 face-offs. I'm not defending his play today, but he had his moments in the CAA against less FOGOs. There are a lot of times where he does get the clamp down, win the face-off and he doesn't come up with it or the wings don't scoop it up. This year will help and he'll get better, but still should have gotten a vet just in case. Not sure where you are going with Cantabene. He hasn't been here since 2002. We went to the FF in 2017 and had good assistants in Cocchi and Gilardi. Alex Woodall was a monster at the FOGO and Nads never replaced him.
