Defense M.I.A. Hofstra wants this game more. Brennan not seeing the ball. Not all his fault. It's 9-4. This is not a great Hofstra team. Obviously not a great Towson team. The CAAs will be played at Drexel so seedings don't matter a whole lot. But giving up 9 goals in the first half to Hofstra. Just embarrassing.

Boring second quarter as both defenses have settled in. Hofstra finally scores with 6:44 left and they are up 8-4.

McIntosh bounces it in and now it's 7-3. Brennan just isn't seeing the ball and McIntosh is just abusing the shorties. WTF is going on. Hofstra is not a high-scoring team and they have 7 goals in the first half. Defense has been a complete no-show and Brennan is losing confidence. Still the first quarter. Nads finally calls a TO.

A bunch of crazy penalties. Towson had a 5-4 advantage and threw it away on a pass at the crease. Hofstra scores easily on the other end as Gerard Kane is just dominating with his size. 3-2 Hofstra Not sure why 6-7 Garrett Zungailia is not on him every time.

So Nelson goes back to the AAC, where she spent time (rarely played) at Cincinnati. That's a big loss and expected, but she chose Coach Rich and her staff over her hometown and the school where she became a star. Tougher conference, but there's no UConn. Going to be a busy month or two for Coach Harper as she attempts to fill the losses of Nelson, Tucker and Gary. Huge losses, but not totally unexpected after SG decided not to hire Zach Kancher. Time to find new stars and build on what you have in Kylie-Kornegay Lucas, Anissa Rivera, Ryann Evans, and Allie Koubek.
