There's definitely some JD in his game in terms of being an undersized post player who is left-handed.

I think the last player is a rotation player because you are starting Conway, Timberlake, Holden, Sylla, and Thompson. Gibson off the bench at the 2. Hicks at the 1. May is going to have to play some at the 3 and 4. Maybe Coleman at the 4. Paar or Biekeu at the 5. That's why hoping the last player is a 3/4 like Gray, because you don't necessarily want to depend on a freshman. What we needed in the offseason was a slasher. Someone who could drive to the basket when shots from the outside are not falling or can get fouled or get to the paint late in the shotclock and in games. Could Sylla be that guy at the 3 or 4? I think he could at the 4, drive by bigger players. He could post up guys at the 3. A little concerned about spacing but Sylla is a pretty good shooter from what I hear even though most of his highlights are post up moves.

He would need to bulk up and improve his 3-point shot. He's definitely a pro somewhere. But sure, I'd like to see him make that jump.

Hofstra if Estrada returns.

The last ship should be a young transfer and hopefully a wing. The good news is that Cam and Sekou are versatile. You can play both at the three and Cam can play the point or two. Sylla is 6-5 220 with a 6-11 wingspan so he can play the post. Even some center in a small lineup

Zimmerman ended up transferring to Mount Olive

If a player doesn’t enter the portal by the May 1 deadline, they won’t be eligible for the 2022-23 season. The deadline only relates to entering the portal, so a player doesn’t have to find a new home by May 1.

Starting right tackle at 6-4, 320 for LIU. One year left. Will be playing at the U this fall.

This I assume means Harper’s former assistant at Coppin and former Towson assistant Christie Rogers is returning. Time to go portaling

Not worried about the long break. It's not due to injuries. He was redshirted his first season probably because they picked up point guard Bryce Aiken from Harvard, who eventually had a concussion that ended his season. These guys play hoops year-round, whether he was a practice last season or the AAU circuit or Summer League. Could he have issues early on in the season and maybe PS starts Gibby in November? Sure, he has a lot to pick up. As his HS coach Lochte said, he's working out and getting bigger and stronger. Saw that he was listed at 180, which is fine. Hicks came in around 160 and Gibby is probably 170ish. The physical part of the game is usually an issue for most freshmen. Since he has an extra year to grow, don't think it will be a big issue. Now running the team along with a bunch of veterans like Cam, CT and NT, will be interesting. Hopefully they can get accustomed to him during the summer. I'd like to catch more AAU highlights. Like to see him against top competition. I'm asking anybody who is interested on this board in our team. Check out his highlights it takes 5 minutes to find out what kind of player he is and whether he can help. Will also be intrigued to see him go against Williamson to see where both guys are in terms of development.
