Easy goal by Shilling from around the goal. Their goaltender is awful small, but that's on their D. 7-4 Towosn.

Avanzato great goal to make it 6-4. Should be 6-3, but Zungaila gave it up on the clear and Fairfield had an easy empty net coach.

Crazy that Tim Lucky is playing for Fairfield and is facing off. Has to be the sone of the one of the great face-off guys we ever head of the same name. He is. Tim Sr. coaches at the Samford school. https://fairfieldstags.com/sports/mens-lacrosse/roster/tim-lucky/5641

The loss face-offs are really hurting the Tigers. Now 3-3 after an Austin Stewart bounce shot. Now just 1-6.

Luke Shilling and Berkeley score 2-1 Towson. Nice ball movement with Koby getting the ball on the slow break. MC is struggling on face-offs losing 3 of 4 early on.

Also, they are still having visits including the D2 POY so some more news might be coming next week or in the next two weeks.

I would think that with three scholarships available, you can take a chance on a young player from a high major with three years left, who is a four star. He might just be a better mid-major player and at that size, may be able take Cam's PF spot in 2023-24. Probably will end up at another high major like Penn State, who recruited him or an Ivy League.

Russell is 6-4, 205, Great rebounding guard. About 35% from three-point. Again, though he's a good passer, not sure the fit I guess would take Rizzuto's place and sound like a similar player but much better rebounder. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/4398354/nygal-russell https://semoredhawks.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/nygal-russell/10032 https://www.southeastarrow.com/story/2922471.html I do like this quote “Just knowing it’s been my fourth year, I’d rather go out with a ring than average 20 points for the season,” Russell said. “And I don’t know if I can honestly say that was different for all those years. So, this year I’m just really trying to figure out how I can win and how I can get certain guys on certain pages so that we can all come together.”

F Gabe Dorsey, 6-6, 215, Vanderbilt (Westminster, Md) Another local player transferring from a high major. Three years left. Father Stephen played at Towson and VMI (played from 1987-89 at Towson) https://vucommodores.com/roster/gabe-dorsey/ https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/4683639/gabe-dorsey https://verbalcommits.com/players/gabe-dorsey Very much a longshot though https://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/college/vanderbilt/2020/08/03/vanderbilt-basketball-jerry-stackhouse-gabe-dorsey-recruiting-sec/5572064002/

Upstate NY and Brooklyn. Big difference. If he wants to go to a better conference, I understand. St. Bonaventure is 6+ hours away from Brooklyn and we are 3+ hours. Not sure he's an A10 player as a 6-5 post. I did see him slash to the basket and show some nice spin moves. Maybe he can play in the A10, but probably not start. I think he'd thrive in the CAA or lower.

He's a senior and has one year left. He started out at Saint Rose for two seasons. It's possible that he has a three-point shot and that his teams only needed him to post up because he was probably stronger than everyone he faced. He looks a lot bigger than his listed 200 pounds. My guess is he's around 6-5, 215ish. Charleston just signed a D2 guy. St. Bonny's wants him. I think he's a player, but my concern is the fit. He appears to be a 4. Cam is a 4. Nic is mainly a three. We need a combo and a lengthy forward around 6-7ish like Juwan Gray. They both are terrific rebounders for their size. He's a 79% FT shooter. That bodes well for a potential 3-point shot. I'll say this. He does appear to have a very long reach and is pretty athletic. Watching his highlights against Miami-Fla. in an ex. game, he reminds me of JD. Pure back to the basket and left-handed. Really strong and long. Again, not sure where the fit is with CT, Cam and Sylla all post players, though Cam has somewhat of a perimeter game. https://gogoldenknights.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/sekou-sylla/5407

Ryan Conway, 6-1, 180, Seton Hall (Towson offered out of HS), went to Dulaney HS in Cockeysville Did not play last season. 3* Should have four years assuming last year was a redshirt season Putting 2+2 together, my guess is he follows Kevin Willard to Maryland. https://www.prephoops.com/2019/08/recruiting-report-ryan-conway-2021-2/ https://verbalcommits.com/players/ryan-conway
