PG Dylan Williamson becomes first 2022 commit in Hoops

Paar needs a year in the weight room, but you can’t teach hands. Footwork is an issue as well and we saw a minute of Biekeu and a dropped rebound. I’m ok with another TJ or DT as your backup to CT. Long and athletic and 225+ That’s enough in the new CAA -
PG Dylan Williamson becomes first 2022 commit in Hoops

I don't see us getting another freshman. We'll be looking at the portal probably for a 5 and maybe a 3/4 to replace Gray. I can also see us getting another point guard. The key to me is getting players from mid-majors that have some experience just as we did this past season. That's not easy to do, but there are so many "unhappy" players nowadays, I'm sure we can find them. -

Most of the money went into the 17 games on CBS Sports.

It looks like more travel for us unless they get another Southern school.

Good defense always saves shaky offense. This team seems to be locked in on the road. Now they have to do it at home on Thursday and Saturday. Unfortunately we don’t get a real break until early February so our bench is going to be needed.

This felt like the Elon game and the Northeastern game, when Nolan went out early and when Gibson was out. It becomes a funky game when Timberlake plays 37 minutes, Gibson plays 35, Thompson plays 3. At least they got Cam (34) a little less minutes than normal and Rizzuto played just 23 (3pt, 1-5). Juwan Gray had the most impactful 23 minutes and four points you'll ever see. He was all over the place. Drew a charge that was called a block (don't get me started on the officiating). I thought Jameer Nelson Jr. got a lot of his hands on a strip. Played very good defense and that's why he was playing at the end over Rizzuto. Had 15 turnovers and 8 assists and still won because we hit the boards. And then there's Cam. Only two critiques. Turnovers are going to happen, but he probably should limit his 3 point attempts until the mask comes off. He was 0-3 tonight. Fantastic job at the line (9-10). He went 0-3 in his last game and missed his first FT tonight. Then proceeded to make his next 9. Four turnovers. A couple of shaky passes, but nothing could be worse than Nick's pass at the end of the game when Delaware not to foul him and he threw this crazy crosscourt pass to Gibson, but Allen easily stole it. We were so fortunate they didn't take advantage as Allen wound up later taking a contested 3. Also need to handle late-game situations better. There's a zillion things I could get into in terms of playing the clock, which is fine, but need better shots. Finally and most importantly, hope that Terry is ok. He probably shouldn't play until they figure out what's wrong.

Not sure I’ll make this but at least we’ll find some answers. Good move for Joe to do this

http://stats.statbroadcast.com/statmonitr/?id=370336 Shykeim Phillips scored 18 points to lead UNCW over Towson 81-77 in overtime on Saturday afternoon. Phillips was basically unguardable most of the afternoon as the Tigers saw a 12-point second-half lead dwindle the point where UNCW took a 1-point lead with seconds remaining. Terry Nolan had a chance to put Towson ahead, but he made 1 of 2. Cam Holden led the Tigers with 18 points and seven boards, but was called for a Flagrant foul late in the game and also called a timeout in overtime with Towson up two when they had no timeouts left. Nicolas Timberlake and Antonio Rizzuto added 16 points apiece. For the second straight game, Towson was outrebounded. This time it was only by two, but they allowed 16 offensive rebounds. Towson also turned it over 13 times, while the Seahawks committed just seven. But ultimately, it came down to Towson's inability to defend Phillips, forcing them to go zone late in the game, which produced some stops. But also allowed Jaylen Fornes to get open in the corner for the game-clinching play. More comments later...
